So i got nine mendo breath plants growing in a 4x4 x8 gorilla grow tent .this is my second grow ever .my first grow i grew over a pound .im shooting for two pounds atleast this time. Im only two weeks in veg and my roots are growing out the bottem of my cloth pots. Should i switch from my current 3 gallon pots to 5 gallon, or should i be fine?Keep in mind im planning on vegging for atleast 6 weeks . Also im using co2 in a closed environment. Im currently batteling with relative humidity. Its been raining a lot and my tent is in a closet outside. Humidity seems to want to stay at 91% luckily i havent got any powdery mildew. I open tent on a daily to run dehumidifier and control the rh as much as i can. Im hoping by the time i switch to flower that this humidity lowers .if not im most likey gonna be doomed come flower. Any ideas on how to better control rh? here's a pic of my root game at two weeks veg .

Yeah, that RH is a killer. IDK what "closet outside" means, A poorly insulated outdoor shed? doesn't help control. Where are you drawing the intake from? Larger exhaust, de-humidifier, AC, + circulation fans are the usual band aids. Sealed room is a solution to look into imo.

I would stick with 3 gal pots if doing 9 girls under one spydrX+ in a 4x4, cut your veg down to a month instead & defoliate. I know your shooting for weight, but more plant mass=== higher RH, PM issues which you are already battling early on; could be a complete loss.

good luck

Mendo breath is a killer strain. I grew it a while back and absolutely loved it. I have a buddy that runs it consistently and always gets great yields and potent as fuck.

Psuagro gave solid suggestions, nothing else I'd add. Gotta get that rh in a manageable state.

Hope you keep us posted. Good luck

Its s closet/storage on my patio on my balcony.its pretty insulated .ihave no problem keeping my co2 confined. I use an ac/ dehumidifier to control rh and bring a little fresh air in every so often. I also cut off co2 and open my tent with door cracked open to allow humidity to lower and bring in fresh air.

The "fresh air" your drawing in is coming from where, outside? If you keep the room sealed with co2, ac/ dehumid unit should be sufficient in lowering your RH or it's under-spec

Yea its coming from outside when i open the tent ever three hours or so.. and when im not venting out like that . I just run the ac , like right now tent is closed with ac on. temp is at74.5 and humidity is at 63%

And my ac is actually outside of tent blowing in . I have no room for ac/dehumidifier inside it..
Just keep the insulated storage sealed then grower and let the ac/dehumid unit do it's thing. Don't need "fresh air" coming in, your just drawing in high RH from it.

good luck

Yea i was thinking i should mabye put a insulated strip on bottem of door and sides of door . prevent any outside air going in .. cause even when door is shut it still is high rh

Very cool! Do you feel the SpyderX is a solid build design or does it have easily broken weak points? Always wanted a BML or Fluence since I started studying LEDs. Glad I held out n didn't get the BML, but the Fluence has had my interest since day one.
Can you take 2 bars off the top-light & add them as side-lighting. Is there wires sent in the box for that option? Does the controller allow you to use less bars w/o over driving them until you put the rest up?
Glad you're doing a journal, I've never seen a complete BML or Fluence grow.
Subbed.

I been thinking about buying some of those bars to replace my lettuce growing T5's but they are very expensive, they want like 200$ each and i would need 4 of them so kinda out of my budget to grow lettuce.

I almost got the bml at one time and im glad i didn't too. I eneded getting a way better light and for a lot cheaper. No it doesn't allow for taking bars offf and using em as side light .yea that dim controller allows you to controll how much intensity you can give your lights . Its awesome becaue i can veg and bloom all in same room. I only have my three other bars off for now because in the beginning of setting my light up , it fell and broke some brackets that held light in place. But luckily these lights have a three year warranty and i was sent replacement brackets and new mounting hardware. If any lights would have broke id of been sent new ones.. so really i could have all eight lllights up from the get but because of that incident they've been off. This light is very much worth the price . My very first grow ever i pulled over a pound.this time im shooting for atleast two and its only my second grow.

Yea you would be better off buying a smaller version of the spydr , rather then just buying individual bars. Believe me you will not regret it.
