Growing seeds Help!

Will I be able to grow my seeds with a 20w 12v lamp and then move them outdoors in 3 weeks?

Which way do you plant your seeds, with the root facing up or root facing down?

and lastly .. Are there anyways to feminize seeds before germinating??

Thanks in Advanced :bigjoint::-P:leaf:

what kind of 20 w light?? is it incandescent, cfl ...or what?

Roots face down

I believe feminizing is done in labs or something...never fucked with that...always planted several and hoped for the best, and picked out the rest

The lamp is a Halogen 20w 12v would that provide enough heat/light for the plants for about 3 weeks?

youll definateley need better lighting. and you dont have to germinate before there in the dirt. you can just put them in a glass of water for about 24 hours. maybe a little less. then put them about 1 cm under the dirt and make sure the soil around the seed stays pretty moist for about three to five days (not soaked and not dry either just).
and about your lighting situation, i would think about going to wally world and getting a couple cheap clamp lamps, there like 9 bucks a piece. and a couple 100 watt equivalent CFL bulbs for them. i like sylvania cuz ther 2700 K which is good for vegging and fruiting. make sure these are about two inches from the top of the plants, during germination as well.
good luck with your grow.
oh and dont fertilize until about three to four weeks in.

Thanks for the information but I was only wondering if the halogen light would support the plants for three weeks and then for the rest of their lives plant them outdoors?
