Growing small plants

I saw a thread but forget where it was and someone was growing plants in normal plastic cups all the way to buds. The plants came out nice and small and full of buds. Does someone do this process by just keepin them in small cups and letting them stay kind of root bound? Anyone ever heard of how this is done?

sounds like SOG on soil as medium with drinking cubs as pots... basically vegging a plant for a few days and then putting it in flower. should be done with clones only since the bud you gone get won't cover the cost of seeds, light and nutes you gone need for this. so get yourself a mother plant to cut clones from and grow these in cubs using SOG.
