Growing with HPS all the way

How many ppl on rollitup grow completely with just the HPS bulb right threw from veg
any plus or minuses You would care to share my friends

hmmmm..... i've done this once. the one time I did, i ended up with really stringy plants. The light was like 6-8" away from the tops of the plants. overall though the difference in dry bud weight compared to that of the system i have now (T5 floro 6 bulb x2 for veg and 2x 600 watt HPS for flower) is so minuscule it's not even funny. I think the difference was like 1.3 grams. BUT THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE. You should try it for yourself and see what results you may get. Tht's usually the best way, is just trail an error.

i have done that for my current grow, which is 3 autoflowers, but i been vegging 3 photo plants alongside those with the 400 watt hps and things are going great.. i got 2-3wks tops left on the autos and then flippin the photo plants to 12/12 shortly after
