Growlab 120 setup ideas

bongsmilieHello to everyone im new here. I just got a new growlab 120 tent. Its 3'11''x3'11''x6'7'' all the space i need for what im doing. I am very impressed with the tent. I have myown ideas all readyabout how i will set it up, but would love to hear others ideas or thoughts.
The plan for the space is a 3x3 tray, I will be growing only 6 clones in this room. Not sure what size pot to use? I will being using soil, not sure what yet? and i plan on getting a 600 hps. with iline fan not sure if i will get a 4'' or 6'' fan?
How tall should i let them get befor flowering to get most yield? and how much bud do you think i could get out of this setup? not sure what strain to use either?
Anyway thats the idea. I hope some one can help give me some tips. thank you

ive got a similar sized tent and its setup as follows:

suspended carbon filter, ducting out of tent via top duct to dayton blower = exhaust.
250 hps + wing suspended cabling running out of upper rear duct = lighting.
all passive intake vent open = intake
3x3 2g pots (max capacity) but currently containing a 5g dwc mother and 7 clones.

I have the exact same tent with a 400w and a 150w hps hangin in there. I suggest getting the 600 and a 6" fan. All I have is an a/c ducted into it to blow in cold air and then I attached a 6" inline fan to vent my lights and my temps are between 70 and 80 but usually sit around 74ish. Good luck man.

As far as strain goes, I'd try some kind of auto, maybe AK47 auto so you can get a bunch of them in there. Auto AK is pretty potent and you should be able to get about 15 to 18 of them in there in 7 liter pots. My experience has been that they yield at least 35 grams each. :blsmoke:You also don't have to worry about changing the light cycle since they automatically go into flower at about 3 weeks. Just put them under 20/4 HPS and 8-9 weeks later you're smoking the dank. Fox Farms Ocean Forest of Happy Frog soils have worked well for me as well as FF Nutes. As for your fan setup, I would pay more attention to the cfm of the fan than the size. Just get one that moves 220cfm or so and you'll be fine. Good Luck

new idea I think im going with two 400 watt hps and 6 " inline fan in the growlab 120. I hope to get at least one oz pre plant . what you think. most likely going with a kush strain.

Thats what I was about to suggest..... get a 4" intake, 6" exhaust. Veg til about 12-14", top once or sc then flip. In a 4x4 with 2-3 gal pots and a 1000w 6 plants should yield nicely. Don't use autos, with a 1000w pick up something decent.

Well everything is finnally up and going. Last week I got 3 purple urkel 2 blueberry kush and 1 Lambs breath. never heard of the last one. All really nice clones about 10'' Tall got them from the club. I have put them under 18/6 light for a week and all looks good. My problemn is the Temp. in my tent WTF I cant get it below 79-81 during day and it only drops to 68-71 at night. it seems not to be a problemn yet its been 7days. the humidty wont rise over 40. im running one 1k with inline 6'' vortex sucking air thru hood via the room. any ideas???

time the same for one big old tree as one auto
"but sir it was only an auto " wont work
when they get to dishing out time i have heard of people getiing hit with a bunch of clones with same penalty as full sized plants

good luck

Not sure if you are bound by plant limitations, but I recommend a sea of green method. Fit as many plants as you can in your space, minimal veg, and go! Typically, if everything is done right- you can expect 10-14 grams per plant. While this does sound minute, consider using only 4" pots. If you veg for a week or less (this is with clones of course), than you should not have an issue with root bound plants. In an actual 4x4 area, you can fit 64 4" pots. 64 x 10= 640 grams minimum.

This is purely my advice, some people are put off by a large number of smaller plants. You have to consider that if you're only using 1 600 watt lamp, you want to make the most of it. Being air cooled, you can run your lamp very close to the canopy and not have to be concerned about "lower buds" not receiving their share of lumens. You'll basically have a bunch of Mini-colas and a little lateral branching perhaps.

Also- It looks bitchin seeing your 4x4 FILLED COMPLETELY with plants. It's a beautiful sight *tear*

Realized I didn't answer some of your questions- If you are dead set on Soil, I am and always will be a fan of Fox Farms Ocean Forest. However, I HIGHLY encourage people to try growing in Coco coir! I use Roots Organic coco coir, and it is a-mazing. Some of the best tasting weed I have had, has been grown organically in coco.

6" inline fan should be plenty to cool your tent, and I would definitely recommend a Can filter like the Can 33 or Can 50. People often overlook this step, and then panic when they're walking up to their house wondering why it smells like a skunk just took a shit on their lawn, then died and started decomposing the same day. Stinky plants are stinky. Don't be cheap and try to "make your own" carbon filter. This may work slightly, but nothing will be a Can filter.

I really, really should read the whole thread before replying.

As mentioned above, your temps are fine. 81 is a bit close, but still manageable. You be feel blessed by your humidity. KEEP IT THAT LOW. Powdery Mildew can not survive below 40% RH. Another thing people often overlook, humidity. Then one day "WTF IS THIS WHITE SHIT ON MY LEAVES". Evil evil PM.
