GTs 2010 OD grow

Happy new year everyone! I have been trying to sum up how I want to do my 2010 OD grow. I found 2 more strains of seeds I had for this coming years grow. I guess I will have to make the decision which ones to pop and which ones to save til next year.

I have been also thinking of the grow area, probably more than what I was going to grow. I want to do raised beds because the soil here is very clayey so I will try to mix in ammendments to the upper 6 inches and then do an 18 inch raised part. This will give the plants a 10 inch base to grow into.

Im going to use the same soil I made last year, I think it worked out very well. Im going to investigate some other sources of compost and potting soil to see if I can increase the quality of my base mix but I think what I have (Gardner & Bloom) is very good already.

There are alot of strains here but I need to pair it down to 12 good plants for the 2010 grow.

I should send the smoke reports to the dispensaries in the area. They dont believe in the outdoor stuff. They only like prety pot. Well we will see how this years OD grow goes.

So far the only 2009 strain anyone showed interest in was XXX (we'll see which one the testers pick). I can see why. It's dank as shit. But I like about 4-5 of them but I will let the testers give their unbiased opinions.

Within the next couple of weeks I will start developing a plan for the grow area. I need to get this party started so I can get it going early (feb-march).

Thanks GT. Looks like a very interesting year ahead for all of us. I know his JTR was especially good for ya. That's all I can say Makes me think of the Mr Bubble powdered bath bubbles I loved as a kid.

Smooth and exhilerating on the inhale....wait....wait...wait...heads a buzzin.... open eyes.... slowly...look around... exhale...slowly...slower....there's the Mr Bubble.... slower....colors are getting brighter...ah yes...very bright... very nice...very fuckin' sweet!!!

Like I said there are 4-5 of them that are right there in the same area, but I think one is better than the rest and it has nothing to do with where it was grown or what it looks like. Maybe I can get a poll setup for my testers.

Hope you all enjoy and report back. One of my testers only got part way and never reported on the rest. Stoner.

Couldnt figure out how to post a poll. So testers post this and rate them overall as 1-5, 5 being the best and 1 being not so good.

Also describe it for the following:

smoothness
taste
high
creep or instantaneous
couch lock or upity.

I think there are different opinions for everyone so far. Its interesting to see what strains people like better than others. Be honest and dont be afraid to post constructively. I have already been insulted by the dispensaries who go on looks or where it is grown alone. How stupid is that??? I haven't had a tester go away unhappy though. Go figure. Enjoy

When I go back and hit those roaches
the wcD has immediate eyebrow raising taste on the inhale.
Great I must say.

I can barely see to test
so more evaluations will be forthcoming.
I just had to write something down before I forget.

Some bad news.

When santa left the package on my porch
it was 17º outside
and everything froze.

Freezing has affected the bouquet of the buds and darkened them a lot.

So my taste test will not be comparable to fresh buds
and I apologize for letting them sit on the porch for who knows how long.
My loss.

Still the buzz is marvelous
and hard to judge after a couple of hits.

I had my neighbors over and shared a couple of hits with them.
They loved the taste of the JTR (thats all they got)
and could barely walk back home.

I still have to try the widowcindy red, the HJ and the JS

What are the hj and hs anyway ?

I have tested pretty much all the strains so far. Would smoke more, but GT spends most of the time talking when I am over. hehe. It's all good. So far the WC red is my fav. Great taste, very smooth and puts me in "Silent Bob" mode. The words are in my head, they just never make it out my mouth. Coherently anyway.

Still thinking raised beds this year?

here we go, .

Santa sure is gracious .

Start with Chemo Cindy

Look: Dense and frosty with just the right amount of leaf, . I LOVE the structure of Chemo Cindy. Despite the different phenos, the lovely structure remains evident .

Feel: Spongy, course, not too dry, not too moist, perfect for smoking, its a little oily

Smell: just like mine, accept its more definable, just a lot more sweet, more pronounced lemony, but toxic all the same, sour lemony fruit .

Smoking Experience

Smoothness: Very smooth with a little tinge

Taste: Sweet and smooth coming in, filling, sour tangy on the exhale, leaving a tinge on the nostrils .

Physiological stimuli: My lungs Suck it up, and its easy to hold in for a while . I Can feel the smoke sticking to my cilia after the exhale, a sweet taste left on the middle of my tongue, the tinge on my tonsils/nostrils slowly dissipating. slightly light headed for just a moment, aware of my heart rate increase. Then I am ready for another rip.



High: After three good rips (5 minutes) I feel the body stone (muscle relaxation, pain relief, I was really sore from working outside) starting in the middle of my body, my back then stomach, chest, and neck. Around the time the high settles into my mind the body high is spreading into my arms and legs. Once settled into my mind, I can feel my eyes redenning and drying, 15 minutes into it my mouth is drying, time to drink something, and drink is followed by food. Perfect meds for my appetite, pain, depression, but not insomnia. It doesn't make me feel sleepy in any way. But slightly lazy and euphoric. Its not couchlock stone (after finishing the bowl), yet not uppity. slightly different stone from my indoor CC, it is not as heavy a stone, not quite as racey (phenos I am guessing), but more muscle relaxing. on a scale of 1-20 (20 being perfect, 1 being....... you don't want to know) I rate it 16.5 ....... kind of a creeper, the stone lasts about an hour an twenty minutes (.5 gram bowl shared between two people).

If this format will suffice, let me know and I will re use it. If anything else occurs to me as I explore it more in the future, I will come back and edit this .
