The most important difference to recognize is that fact that bone meal needs a lot of time to break down become available to the plant. From what I understand the stronger and healthier your soil micro-organisms are, the faster it becomes available.

I don't have much experience with the guano's, I'm sure someone will be able to chime in with some additional pointers.
 
Bat guano has been composted. You will burn your plants if you use too much bone meal. You can not burn with guano. Not unless you go absolutely nuts with it.
