Guerrilla Grow - Water Polymer Crystals?

Hey again ya'll!

I'm getting ready to mix up soil for this year's grow and wanted to know if any one has experience with these polymer crystals? I'll be digging 40 gallon holes. Anyone have experience with these? How much is too much or too little? Are they even worth the purchase?

In SFL it is hit or miss with this rain. Sometimes it's like monsoon season and sometimes it's straight up drought. The area the babies will be in is completely sandy so I think the crystals will help in some way.

As usual, all advice is greatly appreciated!

im new to the forum so please double check me on this. but with the quick run off from sand any water retaining crystals will be useful to an extent. if it gets crazywet im not sure tho..... 6 of 1 i guess....

They work great. Been using them for a few years now and wouldn't grow guerrilla without them. I like the Soil Moist brand, but Miracle Gro also makes a decent product. I used to only use a thick layer of mulch to retain water. Just be sure to only use the recommended amount. I don't think excess will necessarily harm the plant, they just expand to like 30x their original size. Also, there is some out there with nutrients added, so as always read the bag.

All I needed to know. Thanks, Sonar!
