Just looking for pointers.I was until a week ago, growing in an ebb and flow.I awoke one morning to go and hand feed (Plug in the pump cause im short a timer)and walked away, then i went to work, then i came home and watched a movie, then went to check my babies. When i arrived to my closet i could hear water running and then it all came back to me,FU%@ I left my pump running .I hurried to open the door expecting the worst, but there they stood as tall and strong as before.
Now i know the only reason they are still alive is because i oxygenate my water. My setup is as so: one mixing tub (the big one) from home depot, one 18 gallon black totefour air stones (2 in the root tray,2 in the res.) pushed by an eco plus commercial grade pump pushing 38 liters an hour.my root tub only fills to about 4 gallons, less than half way up my pots.I fill the res. with 10 gallons, and obviously i run the pump 24/7or a recycling DWC.is there anything i could be doing or should be doing.I know Its the same thing as an ebb and flow But are there any tips to make things go as smooth as possible.:bigjoint:

Your plants are in hydroton, I assume?

Because if they're in any other medium like rockwool or coco, they're going to die sooner rather then later.

Also, having that much water in your tray at all times begs for algae to grow.

I've switched totally from DWC to E&F; honestly can't understand why someone would do the opposite.

IMO, nothing hydro is easier than simple dwc. it is the best way for a beginner to start and keep it simple. You can easily build it yourself cheap (check the link below). Put the money in the lights and nutes.
