Hey guys, got my first crop ready in the next few weeks and I was just looking for some guidance on the finishing stages. It's an auto flower from royal queen. So far so good other than a little nitrogen problem but I think I'll be fine. How ever I been reading loads about the finishing stages but everyone is telling me to do different things. What I have gathered together and intend on doing is this but if I'm doing it wrong please say. Flush for two weeks, dry it out a little then put it in 48 hours hardness for more trichomes then cut it down. How ever I'm worried that some of my lower buds aren't going to be developed enough by the time I harvest so what am I going to do ? I'll have to harvest the top colas at a different time but how do I go about this ? And how many times do I flush it over two weeks flush ? Need some clear guidance it will be much appreciated

It is an auto, it should not matter but, there are different opinions on this, like every other thing, so it's dark or not, ask around, I cut mine during darkness.

Good job on getting this far with your crop! Like most things when it comes to growing, there are lots of strong opinions about almost everything, including the 48hrs of darkness. Some people swear that two days of darkness is critical to maximum trichome productions. Others say it's an "urban legend" and a waste of time. Personally, I don't think it makes a huge difference so I don't do it. I give the girls light right up until the ax comes out. Same with flushing. Some people say flush, some say don't. Some say don't flush if you use organic nutes (which I recommend) but do flush if using synthetic nutes. But this is your grow so its up to you how you want to play it.
My suggestion would be to treat your first grow as one big learning experience. Your second grow is gonna be much better than this one, and your third grow will be even better. Read (a lot), experiment, refine your process, and repeat. That's the only way great growers are made.
But to answer your two questions, I personally leave the lights on schedule all the way until harvest day. I don't do a "formal" flush. I keep the same watering schedule, but for the last two weeks before harvest I don't add any nutes.

Thanks for the advice mate I think I'm going to do the 48 hours darkness, I'm going to get a little sample bud up before and after darkness too, also for some strange reason my buds below the canopy which receive a lot of darkness are frostier than the ones under direct light I don't know why :sHey Adamh13,
