H&G Cocos A&B Base Nutes Start To Finish?

Hey dudes,

I've been testing some things lately and trying to find a good balance of yield & quality as well as ease of use when it comes to nutrients.

I've used Advanced Nutrients Coco Connoisseur in the past with great success as just a 1 part base with no additives feeding pretty balanced ppm start to finish..

I'm wondering, anyone run Cocos with good results without using supplements? My major thing about Bloom Boosters is I notice it screws with my quality and potency no matter what. Looking for quality over quantity here.

If I end up conducting the experiment with just using H&G Cocos base with Drip Clean in my AutoPot setup I will update the thread and show results & end yield & quality.

Very interested in this as I also run H&G Cocos, just ran out of Bud XL and Top Shooter so I might give it a run without to see if there's any difference

I am going to make sure to keep this updated. I'm running the cocos on 6 Gorilla Breath plants in 10 gallon fabric pots of 70/30 coco/perlite by Mother Earth (most consistent brand I've tried).

@Otzi Do you follow the Cocos feed chart or do you feed a specific ml/gal throughout? I was thinking especially since I wont be using additives I might need to run the base around 10ml/gal or 2 oz per/5 gallons of A+B in RO water. The H&G COCOS base seems very potent and rich compared to most bases I've worked with..

Let me know if you can. Thanks. :)

Nice I also use Mother Earth coco + perlite.

Yeah I usually follow the feed chart since I use all the additives, but 10 ml/gal makes perfect sense. I also add 1 gram per gallon of Epsom salt, going to try cutting that out as well. I am using dechlornated tap water.

Week 1 of bloom just started this weekend, going to keep using multizen and amino treatment the next couple weeks just to try and fill out the roots.

I'm interested to see how it works out with just base. This stuff is very concentrated which I really like and also without additives the PH automatically is around 5.7-5.8 without using any adjusters.

I've noticed supplements & additives CAN help but some of them are complete gimmicky bs and the plants aren't really going to utilize it like they claim especially certain strains. I'm interested to hear how your grow goes without using the full line. I was thinking 10ml/gal start to finish was a good dosage if only using base.

I am on the exact same thinking as you. A simple a & b feed without all the other shit

I'm going to order some and give it a whirl.

Got 3 lemon skunks that I'm sure would be happy with the investment

I have got on very well with ghe floranova bloom with 1ml per litre plant magic magnecal+. In flowering they love it! Even go up to ec 2.2 sometimes. They go chuncky. For veg and pre flowering I want something else.

So far H&G is the best line I've used and I've used General Hydro, Advanced Nutes, Heavy 16, Cyco full lines over the last couple years. The hunt is finally complete. Their Cocos base is very affordable.. $150 per/10 liters A&B shipped from my local grow store to my garage.

The stuff seems to go a long way but you can feed very agressive without burning/lockout from what I've heard around here. I'm hitting up to 1200 PPM on 6' (foot) tall plants and they do not show signs of tip burn yet... I hear some people go as agressive as 1400 PPM with H&G..

I'm wanting to try their Shooting Powder and see if I get larger buds... So far the base nutrients with their roots gold has given me explosive results. I'm mixing @ 10ml/gal or 200 ml per 20 gallons and its hitting around 800 ppm at that dose. I'm thinking of bumping it up to 1000 ppm and maybe even 1200 and seeing if we get any burn. The tips aren't burnt @ 800 ppm so lets see how hard we can push them.

10 gal pots of 70/30 Mother Earth Coco/Perlite.

Buddhas Tree Organicus is what I used and this only.

It's an all in one grow and bloom, cheap as chips and does the job very well.

I use this only and no supplements at all.

It consistently produces monsters and can be used in any growing system, soil, coco, hydro etc. Screenshot_20201115_140854_com.android.gallery3d.jpgScreenshot_20201115_140845_com.android.gallery3d.jpgScreenshot_20201115_140747_com.android.gallery3d.jpgIMG_20201115_185947.jpgIMG_20201115_185927.jpgIMG_20201115_185919.jpgIMG_20201115_185859.jpg

I use 60 40 soil/coco

No, I use nothing else as far as liquid nutes go. Nothing at all, no cal mag, no boosters etc

The only other thing I use is Ecothrive Charge which is beetle shit and this is used when potting up to final pots.

1ltrs of Buddhas Tree Organicus and a small tub of Ecothrive Charge is under £20 and it lasts me 2 full grows, 4 to 6 plants, at least.

It is very reliable and consistent, not to mention cheap as fuck.

Those plants look very happy. If you don't mind my asking what is your yield/lights/pot size? Also, it's common with soil to not need CalMag. Personally I use no CalMag supplement when using the House & Garden Cocos A+B fertilizers.

I have been looking at Organic fertilizer for my crops and really haven't been happy in Coco.. I used GreenPlanet Medi-One and it was decent and worked but definitely didn't produce good yields at all.. Not even worth the money or time..

With the Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur Coco base I was able to achieve 10oz/plant in 10 gal pots under 1000w DE HPS with supplemental co2 @ 1250-1500 ppm.

I avoid soil because of the inconsistency and risk of bugs & contaminants.

Hi @calvin.m16

I use 20ltr pots and a 600HPS with a Parabolic Reflector

My yields are very much the same although I don't weigh every harvest. It usually just goes straight into jars as I grow for myself.

In my 1.2m x 1.2m tent I do between 4 to 6 plants generally and regardless of plant number, I end up with over 600grams which could be anywhere between 22oz - 25oz.
