Half of Bedroom Transformation to Grow Room!

I am going to be using half of one of my bedroom's in my basement for growing.
I have also just ordered a 600 watt hps hood from htgsupply and expect it to be here within a week.
The growing space of the room is 7 feet in height, 6 feet wide and 6.5 feet in length. ( 85 inches tall, 80 inches long, 75 inches wide )
The plants that will be going in there once the grow light comes will be a Pineapple Chunk and El Aquimista.
Both are on day 63 day of vegetation. Should I transplant them into 4-5 gallon pots instead of 3 gallons so they get bigger?
Also both plants have been topped 3 times. Can I go ahead and top them both twice to make it 5 toppings before they go into flower?
Let me know what you guys think! What can be added, what to buy, any pointers!

how long have they been in the 3 gallon pots. either way id definitely transplant to at least 5 gallons.

as far as topping goes as long as you give em about 7-10 days to recover before flowering go for it!!!!

They've been in 1.5 gallon pots since 3 weeks in. I've had autoflowers going along side them in my veg growbox so space is a bit too cramped to put bigger pots in.
Well should I since its only 2 plants underneath a 600 watt hps should I try to get as many tops as possible? Or just stick to like 4-6?

How long til the autos finish? because transplanting is pretty crucial if youve been vegging that long.

If you can top them and keep going until the autos are done than transplant em that would work out the best i think.

or run the 600 as veg for a week or two longer so you can move them out into the bigger section and transplant em. let the roots grow. then flip to 12/12

i love htg too! are you gettin a digital or regular ballastr and with any kind of coolable reflector?

Digital Ballast also. And the bulb has a hood too it which isn't aircooled.

Nice! you dont really need an air cooled one in a room that big i guess. haha

what autos do you have going??

Dinafem Original Amnesia and Dinafem Fruit.
Would more tops be better for 2 plants under a 600 watt hps?

Most likely. depends on strain really but as long as you keep em short enough so the bottom nugs dont get little light than your good.

Ive only topped a few times and didnt really take notes like i do now and cant remember that far back. but if youve got a good strain that tops well the more the merrier!!!

you can try training the tops you already have. tie strings/wire around each of the tops of one node and pull em flat, and repeat with higher nodes.

kind of a ccros between topping and lst, kinda like a scrog lst style. ive done this with good results. gets a lst effect on the branches but with a tone of branches

and helps keep the canopy nice and even. which means you can get the 600w even closer!
