what do you mean? i think i know what your onabout, but how on earth is that better than having a roach in your joint? where i am you can get OCBs,Zig-Zag,Raws,Highlanders,Rips etc... the list goes on. . .
They are rolling papers with a wire in them that exposes itself more and more as you smoke it. You can roll it up to make a nice little handle for your joint. Its great cause you don't have to worry about burning your hands or anything while you are trying to get that last little bit out of your roach. I have a buddy who only uses them to roll. I am a zig zag person myself. But thats just a preference. I don't really smoke joints that much. Much more of blunt fan

I like the slickness of raws or elements.... but I hate how little glue raw puts on their papers... elements are hella nice for that...

pure hemp papers rule too, plenty of glue but with super sticky weed it makes the paper so sticky it's almost impossible to roll.... unless you do it the first turn if you know what I mean...

as for roaches, I tend to form the weed in a way that it makes a goood filter without any falling out... but I do miss roaches... I had a pack of quintessential pure hemp filter tips and my joints always hit perfect/rolled perfect... think I better buy some more....

Burn ya hands, pah, sod that, i just bin my joint once there's around an inch to go and roll up a fresh one. Tip top no likey hot. Weed is one of the few exceptions where i really live in excess :)

I don't see the point in buying roach tips, i get a free magazine delivered each month and you can just about get 4 weeks roach out of the two covers.

thats the same thing i do with roach, and yeah you dont need a wire to hold your joint until it gets near the bottom as you start getting 'lip burners' so just best to have a roach in to avoid this hehe!

They are 'RAW rolling papers' They are advertised as vegan, and they are advertised as not being refined at all. I find they are really easy to work with. They DONT feel like cellophane papers.. They don't tear easy... but like poplars said theres not a whole lot of glue.. so you cant roll it like a blunt. More on that below.

I actually bought them off of www.everyonedoesit.com ... i've had awful experiences with them reguarding glass, but I think it would be OK to buy some papers from them. Even better if your in the UK, as they are located in your country.
I'm not aware of anyone else who sells RAWs, if anyone can hook up some info i'd be delighted. I've actually seen packs here in the states, but they aren't very popular.. more for the cannasseur

Hey pops... My good buddy had the same issue with RAWs, he didn't like them because he said they didn't stay stuck.... well I figured out the problem, explained it to him and now he rolls RAWS no problem.. hes only been rolling like a year too. He was licking on the glue side

If you lick the GLUE side, you are basically wiping off the glue. The glue is not heavy duty stuff, but it works well if you know how to do it.

You need to roll your shit up tight, without licking anything, and basically have it ready to be set like your thumbs are keeping the (dry) glue side against the paper.... then use your tongue, going WITH the fold, on the OPPOSITE SIDE of the glue and lick gently but enough to soak the paper... your saliva should soak through the back, activate the glue... and at the same time push the paper against the joint, sealing it. This is the best way I've found to seal up a joint , it relieves the stress on the wet paper, so tears never happen, and it seals it FLUSH against the paper with no wrinkling... I always get wrinkles when I roll joints like a blunt. Or the glue gets licked off, and comes undone.

This is the same thing you have to do with sugar based gums... because you just lick off the glue..... Also, if you set a RAW paper like the above, and then unpeel it, the glue will also come off some.... as long you dont take 30 minutes on a joint you should have ZERO problems with raws

Aye, i recalled that you rolled with the RAW's a short while after posting :D I'm not sure whether the UK get's slightly different papers to America, but the pack of RAW's i bought a month or so back, i found them absolutely fine to roll up, didn't encounter any issue with the glue, i just rolled as normal.

Yeah I mean if your gentle you can do it just fine i'm sure :)

But the way I described is pretty much guaranteed to solve glue stick problems IF you have them

TTT you have an herb iron right? You light joints with it? i love it for joints and blunts, it's great for fixing runs

I have pianists fingers, nice and dainty haha. I have constantly thought about a herb iron but i just can't justify the price at present. Every time i get a spare £55, it's not spare, there are many important things it can be used for like upcoming electricity bills etc. I earn $150 a week to pay for everything.

I'll try that it just doesn't jive with my rolling style much.. I roll those nice cones, lick the glue then start sealing at the burning end leading to the hitting end, makes it form perfectly....

without that grab in the beginning,I could see the form not being as smooth... this may cause me to not buy raws again... I didn't have this problem with element papers...

so do everything you normally do except skip the step of rolling it together with wet glue.... when its dry, just press it up like you would a wet paper.. nice, smooth and tight... while holding the paper/joint tight with your fingers .. lick the outside of the glue strip... lick liberally with the roll to activate the glue & press the glue against the lower paper.... and the paper doesnt move at all it just glues to the paper below it & everything is sealed.... you can start with whichever side you want, and just keep the paper in hand and keep working down the joint until the front and back is sealed up

Do you see what I'm talking about? Keep rollin your good jays but if you can do that on the raws you should have no problem keeping them together.. its nothin complicated ;)

what I'm saying is... it's not possible for me to roll exactly the same as I did before with your method because part of my method involves sticking the beginning of the paper before sealing the end to make it look smooth.

I mean I don't see the point in changing my method of rolling just for a paper that has inadequate glue for direct licking...

I'll just stick to elements or pure hemp papers...

your talking about rolling more of the paper in the back and less in front yeah?

You can do the same with licking from the back of the glue strip.. just gradually working from one end to the other, the trick is to not let the dry paper go loose when your licking the other parts, because if it gets loose then youll have a loose jay

your method is fine with normal papers with glue like that, but i'm saying if your going to roll raws without them falling apart you gotta lick from the back of the glue strip in the method i've been talking about

seriously I understand what you're talking about and I can already tell the end quality of my joint would not be the same.... my rolling style relies on being able to SMOOTH the paper on, not having to hold it in place, lick, smooth, lick some more, smooth..that would decrease the end quality of my joint...

I will still use the raws I have left but Im not buying them again because of this ... elements didn't do this and they have the same slick consistency I like in rice papers...

ima roll up a pure hemp joint now...

we are so far behind the yanks on what we roll our dope in. last time i was over there they had a skin with a wire down the length of it and a littl bit over so you roll the j with no roach and just hold the little bit of wire. cant for the life of me remember the name of them
