Hanging a light bulb by wire

  • Hi guys
Due to my setup, i have to consider hanging one of my lights parallel to the ground with wire.
These are the bulbs i am using http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AZOV9K/..._26725410_item
The wire is thin metal wire i had lying around the house, was used for a model I made during school.
Picture of the wire http://limabeanlover.files.wordpress.../stick-man.jpg ignore what it is haha, just an example of what im using.
Is it okay to have this wire around the end of the bulb and another around the base. Will having this wire on the bulb while it is running cause the bulb to break or will it be A okay?
    Cheers for any help

dude seriously you dont need to do that, just use a hood with the bulb it would work much better.
There is a risk that the bulb could break, did you know those bulbs contain MERCURY. If it breaks over your plants you could poisen them and kill them and more seriously you could also have mercury poisoning. Google it. :-)

a little wire isnt gonna break your cfls the glass is thick as long as its not tight its probably not necessary but works
