So i go to check/adjust ph on my systems to find out that my hanna combo HI98129 meter wont turn on. i go buy replacement batteries, but to no avail. i've had this meter for just a little over six months w/o dropping it or anything like that. any one else have similiar issues with this meter? is there a better meter that is more reliable? let me know, thanks!

I just bought the Hi 981404n and so far it works perfect. Mine has a 2 year warranty against defects and the probes are warranted for 6 months. Contact the manufacturer or distributor.

just purchased this pH/EC/TDS/ TEMP METER. Been using it for almost a month now and have noticed my numbers did not seem right.

Went and purchased some solutions at my local hydro store

Ph 4.01, Ph 7.0

PPM 1500 Solution

Was told that they will work to help my meter to get calibrated.

Went home and started calibrating.
PH
First put my meter in 7.0 waited a few mins number went up to 7.11 but then back down to 7.0 but never told me to us the 4.01. The meter just turned off after it hit the 7.0

So i just rinsed it and went on to the 4.01, same thing happened number went up and down but then it reached 4.01 and then just turned off. It did not say OK

PPM
I used my 1500 ppm solution to calibrate my meter but when i fallowed the direction's it the display screen came up 1380 USE. Not sure what that meant so i put the meter into my 1500 solution and waited the 1380 went down to 1375, then started fluxing all over. then started climbing the numbers. It got up to 1390 then the meter stopped for a min and shutoff.

Not sure whats going on but this is my second Hanna meter and i just upgrades my pens because of the calibrations was hard to do with the screwdriver.

Hope you can help my water is waiting!!

Thank you for your help

its funny wish i would have read this last week. My new meter showed today and it is complete crap. Would not calibrate until i put both TDS and PH meter in the calibration fluid. Worked for about 10 minutes and screen went black and shut down. I turned it back on and the PH jumped 1 whole point. I am hoping i can return it and buy a different brand.
