Oh shit really?? I always thought they were UK based for some reason :?. And they are £££. Thanks for the clarification.
Didn't realize the change either............probably got tired of the UK weather:wink:

I would work it out with Hans zippi, he should OK a DIY fan swap to stay under warranty; very easy btw....the GN won't even come close to the performance of the 150w IMO

I would have liked to stay with hans but i need a light..The fan still works its just very weak so its either the driver has an issue or some thing on the panel..I do not want to open it till hans says otherwise..It has not been used fired it up a couple of times to show people. Then hung it the other day to start my flowering when i luckily heard the fan drop in speed..
Other than this i was satisfied with the performance of it..

They did flicker just before i switched it off but it was still brighter than the mars 144x3 reflector. Its a strange one as the fan is getting some voltage as are the leds..The power supply doe seem well made from the outside..I presume all the workings are in there as the panel is so thin..

Sounds like the remote chinese driver has an issue then............it's the weakest link

have you checked if all the screwed ?? connections are secure/not a short? my 65w was sent with loose connections, but it was the first model don't know how yours is hooked up....

And just to double check, you have plugged it into another receptacle other than the one you are using in your grow area? Maybe something in the room??? I mean I would think it's the panel before quite a few things but I was wondering if you are sure it's not the wiring or something in the grow room.

Yes i have tried all the connections without opening which is the power into the panel and tried different power sockets on another ring.It did not flicker then but the fans still slow. Its not the electric as it has just been checked by a sparx a few weeks ago as per legislation of landlords in uk...I think its a rail or something in the power supply as the fan is still turning at low speed..

If you don't mind me asking how long did it take to rectify your issue??And did you have to send it back and did you have to pay for sending back?

I tightened everything up and it has been working flawlessly for 3 yrs now.........never returned it back to Hans.

EH(A51) did report to me that they found a short on the jumper cable? when I sent it to them for checking par#s/design/etc......they still have it, maybe he can clarify what they fixed on it.

Hans better not charge you anything to send it back for repairs or send you a new driver........if he does , tell him you'll post it here for all to see!!:cuss:

Maybe i should let him try and sort it when he gets back..I did ask for a refund so see how he plays it..Pretty sure he keeps an eye on certain forums..
At least if i keep it i will have a spare led unit wether it be gn or hans I would like to be sufficient with around 200w of lighting for veg and bloom...so whole grow under .5kw draw is my goal including fans pumps heat etc...
Then i can think about moving onto a narrowboat with a solar grow and finally be off grid ..

I have spoken to Hans he is sending a replacement fan out foc..I will fit it as i can solder it is easier than sending the panel back which he offered to do foc..I have also bought a 240v fan 80mm as a spare just in case..I have taken the panel apart to replace the fan and it seems well designed and put together..So all in all Hans is a helpful guy..
It was just bad luck he was on holliday when it failed which made communication a interesting..
Hans did say i could just use the 240v fan till the replacement arrives..
SO now @ least i can compare the hans 150 directly to the Grownorthern HS1 which will be interesting..
I also need to get a cheap camera to do a diary with sub £100 if anyone has any advice please let me know..

So a quick update Hans has informed me to fit 1 100ohm 3w resistor to the fan in series, this should stop the fan issue which slowed..So back out with the screwdrivers and solder..I must add the board is well made and put together..
