hard water and epsom salt

i'm definitely saving for a r/o system for sure... what types of pre and post filters were u using? I had bought a filtrete (think thats the name) house water filter which effectively reduced the ec down to about 0.2ec but at the time i was using it i was having a ton of problems and at the same time i was reading an article on how some filters actually add shit like salts n stuff to soften the water... I decided to yank it and bubble my water for a day to remove the chlorine. i figured it wouldn't be too much a problem since ppl on these forums regularly cite using much higher tds water and having next to no problems with it aside from needing to supplement with epsom salts to balance the calcium, or with calmag/magical for pretty much the same reason. anyway i finally got the ballz to feed full strength maxibloom, and it looks like theyre lookin a lot happier to my eyes. Ill keep lookin to the new growth for signs the problems are fixed for the 3 hempys in veg, but it seems to be harder for me to know if it is getting better for my one in flower because she already stopped stretching so there's not a whole lot of new growth for me to look to. I guess i'll reread the nutrient deficiency thread and hope i absorb some of the valuable info available on these forums. thanks for the help so far

not sure the name brand post and pre filters but there just a couple 6 to 8 dollar filters i picked up at hardware store. they work good and are throw away filters. they save me quite a bit of cash in the long run by keeping shit out of the membraine.
