Harvest Time??? w/pics

Do you guys think it's harvest time yet? It seems to be extremely close but I wanted another opinion because it's my first ever grow and I started with a bunch of CFL's but switched to a 400W HPS about a week after flowering. I started in a computer case and moved to a closet but I used peat moss in the soil and had a bitch of a time trying to control the pH levels. Will use different soil next time for sure and will mix some dolomite lime in too.

Just by the looks of the pistils, I'd say another 7-10 days but it could be longer. Looking at the trichomes (crystals), is the best way to tell. If you have access to a radio shack, they have these handheld microscopes for $12. Get one and look at the trichs and if they're clear, then they're not ready. If they're clear to cloudy, you'll get more of sativa-like buzz. If they're cloudy to amber, you'll get an inbetween buzz. If they're mostly amber, you'll get an indica buzz.

You can't go by the pistil only. I start to look at my trichs when the pistils are about 50% orange.
Cool man, thanks a lot. I will head down tomorrow and buy one. I am looking for more of an indica high so I will heed your advice then. Thanks man, I appreciate the response. :joint:

nutes all the way till clipping? ewwwww. i can just taste the chemicals. #.#you gata flush that shit out the last 2 weeks man!

that is a nice plant! the wait will be well worth it too, alot of the girth of the budds is put on in the last week or 2 befor its time to harvest. and waiting longer will deffinately give it more of an indica high.

A month, nah man way too long. I've read that when about 70 to 80% of the pistols turn brown, it's ready to go and they're around 55 to 65% now.
well you read wrong. Ya about a month actually is right lawl..

You dont judge cannabis on pistils... the only REAL way to judge is with a 30x+ scope and if it is 50/50 or more amber then ur ready. Dont post stuff if you dont want advice and facts.
