it's about 4 1/2 weeks into flowering stage now and i don't know if i should harvest the plant or not. most of the buds have crystals but some have only little. some buds have red hairs already but some (mostly on top of the plant) still is mostly white. should i start harvesting soon, or should i wait longer?

Holy shit that is a nice bud...

4 Weeks may not be enough for a Sativa. I think 8 is beneficial.

I'm no expert, but I would say wait...a magnifying glass will give you the edge to look at the trychs, 75% +\- amber is when it is ready. Still looks aweful white to me...

sativas will trick newbies into early harvest in like a week you will start to see that the calyxes are still forming, also you can see that calyxes aren't really
swollen

don't harvest yet, whatever you do... wait another whole month, give or take. could be up to six weeks left. she's a sexy healthy looking plant.

the plant will show you when she's ready to be harvested... she will look ripe. if that doesn't work just post another picture around sept. 20th

does still still apply to hermies, but doesn't hermies produce less resin to make the seeds. if you guys didn't know this is a hermie.

another thing, should i stop giving it molasses. i read somewhere i should stop giving it molasses after a while in flowering. thank you in advance.

are you sure it's a hermie, it has "balls" the pollen sacks that release the pollen. if you're not sure upload a pic that shows them... there are plenty of images on this site to help you identify them.

well the ball looking thing with pointy ends has a seed inside of it when i picked it off the bud. i'm pretty sure it's a seed but i'm not 100% sure. when i cut open the ball, i see a white thing, which i think is the stem if germinated.

it may just be pollen from around, I guess that pod with no hairs is just seeded... if you don't have any of those phallic bananas, I think you're okay. maybe somewhere around you there is a male or perhaps you have previously grown a male that was allowed to drop some pollen. look around though, cause on a plant that big it may be difficult to find.

Sorry mate, pics 2 and 4 say you definitely have seeds... and unfortunately from a hermie they are probably not the greatest stock. In any event, may as well grow it for all you can, i'd say from looking you've still got a while yet, at least a couple more weeks, it'd be a shame to not get all you can from this girl. Good luck and happy growing.

DAMN!!! Nice Plat Man. If you feel the need, I would clip a few and dry some of those mature buds that have mostly red hairs, then let he damn thing go for a few more weeks.

So those spade looking things that are pointy on top have seeds inside of them? I have those on my plant, and I am wondering why... I don't see any bananas on my plant, and there aren't any other males around that I know of...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I can't find a better pic than this one.

I've been doing some digging, and I think that is just an extra large calyx on that plant. Look at it. It looks just like the smaller ones, only huge. Look up "False Seed Pods".
