Harvest withOUT destroying plant???

Is there a way to harvest your bud without destorying my tree of life that I grew??

1. Can I cut the buds of the stalks and the tips and just leave some of the fan leaves and stems when I harvest?

2. Will the tree go into shock and or die in the winter time or do you think it will survive till next spring? I live in cali.

I wana try and make it survive so next year it's like a 12 or 14 footer
If possible.

I was thinking about this but putting it indoors afterwards and moving back out when the time is right.
I was also thinking doing it with a topped plant so it wont be 12-14 feet haha...

a couple years back i harvested the outer canopy of the plants then let the inner popcorn nugs ripen up a little bit and got a second harvest a couple weeks later! worked out nicely! but i wont do it again because of the size of what i am doing this year...

u can havres and then reveg it indoors but if it snows and gets below freezing in the winter i dnt think itll live through

yah..it snows where i live. Taking it indoors is def not an option either.

Maybe i'll try and clip that outer nugs and then try'n geta second harvest from the inner part of the plant.. a week or two later.

I read the thread... sounds awsome. but it's directed towards indoor growers who can manipulate the hours of light.
How could you get a second harvest outdoors?

Could you get a second before december and/or will the plant survive till next year... thus starting the next grow year with a giant mother tree of life.

I don't know... I will be moving my outdoor plant indoors... But maybe a greenhouse? I have no idea.

You should definitely think about taking them indoors. I suppose you could switch back to the vegetative cycle after harvest. I would be very gently with the harvest as to not hack the plant up, or cause more stress to the plant then I believe switching it back to veg would. But yeah what do I know

No it would die /rot thru winter. Try to clone it ,even in flowering to keep it going indoor.

I dont know about making it live through winter outside, but you can get two harvests if you move it to shade early in the year to bud harvest all but the lower branches and then re-veg it in the summer

i do this every year, been workin out good for me so far.

damn you must be norcal gettin snow. im socal and tho we get a cold winter its never freezing here (or rarely) so i might be able to try this. that and my plants are all 7-12 feet tall XD thatll help keep em resilient idk tho it sounds interesting. the older a plant the stronger the yield. so hypothetically if you kept it alive (thru the cold and the diseases attacking the plant with cuts all over it) then itd be a bigger danker bushier bitch next year. who knows hopefully we all come back in 9 months and tell of how long our pride&joys lasted happy harvest ppl n check my grow journal im adding new pics today!

So when you go for the second harvest with the smaller inner nugs.. do you cute the branches off up to that point?
or do you just strip the branches of the "outer canopy" of buds?
