harvested, trimmed and cured, kinda

You know, my scissors got all gooey as i was trimming, so i stopped to clean them, got interrupted then I rolled a doobie from the trim and was like wow that's nice. So every now and again, if I'm going out somewhere, and want to take a fatty for the crowd, I'll trim a a bit for that. It seems to keep it fresher than what I saved while i was putting it up to cure. It's for my use, so aesthetics isn't as important if I were trying to sell it.

But did you see how sparkly it is??

Ya you have some good trics. Looks nice but you have to re-trim them again. They'll look super sexy when done. All that hard work... might as well trim them proper. Grab some vegetable oil and paper towels when my trim scissors get gooey I just wipe them down with veg oil and paper towel.

Curing should be done trimmed imo, drying on the otherhand depends on the enviroment conditons that the drying is being done in, dry warm condition dry untrimmed, humid cool conditions trim and dry.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but could you explain why?
To regulate the drying speed....warm dry you want to slow it down so you want the extra moisture that is heald in the leaves (imo trimming after drying is a pain but to dry it right imo this is the way)

And if it is a cool (I SHOULD CORRECT THIS, i said cool because cool also seems to slow the drying process) in a humid enviroment you want to speed it up and not let it take to long (this has a legitimate reason....to slow and to much moisture in and around the bud will provide breeding ground for mold, and NONE of us want mold. Yuck)

And as for curing trimmed again it is mostly to limit moisture in the curing process to a more regulated availability...plus once the trim is dry you may as well do what your gonna do with it, weather its bubble bag for the kief or make some oil from it and get all the tric's and put em to use while you wait for the good stuff to cure.

I see. Thanks.

Well. I haven't been on here fora while as the harvest is in and curing.

I thought I'd say thanks to everyone that was there with advice along the way.

Weed turned out awesome. Really nice bright upbeat buzz.

I attached a close up of the end result in the jar curing.

What do you think??
Looks nice man, real good job on the grow for sure but I do agree the buds would look so much nicer trimmed up a little more!! Amazing buds tho good job!
Just wondering, how many plants did you grow with what type of setup and lights and fans, along wid feeding routine, then what was your final harvest weight if you don't mind telling us?
Thanks
Caper

I planted 4 bag seeds. 3 super lemon haze and one sour kush that my son gave me in a seed starter kit on 6-12. I Got 4 little baby plants and and transplanted them into 1 gallon pots filled with Coast of Maine "platinum growers blend". I got this at a local farm and feed supply store. While i was staring at all the organic nutes that were on the shelf that they had there that could go into "super soil" a young woman asked if I needed help. I told her i needed some potting soil. she asked what i was going to grow and I told her "plaaannnts". She smile and said here's the stuff. "Super soil" but with east coast variants.

I transplanted them again into 3 gallon pots Fim'd them one time (should have topped them alot and earlier) and watered them when they got dry. They hung around the pool most of the time and had a pretty good spot for them when company that wouldn't be cool with it came by. and watched them grow. )One turned out to be a male so I killed it and chucked way into the woods.)

Oh yeah, we had a week of cool windy rain. I brought them inside and put them in the spare bedroom till it passed. I posted a pick of that below along with a bunch of others from their growth.

When they were well into flowering I cultivated the soil in the pots to about an inch deep and Filled them to the brim with the soil i had left. I obsessed over the trichome when they started to look grown up and cut them down when they were milky but hadn't turned amber yet.

Hung them in an attic space that doesn't get a lot of sun so it is quite dry and not hot for almost 3 weeks then cut off and trimmed the buds like you see now and put it in 16 ounce mason jars where it is curing in my closet. I burp the jars daily and fire up a little bowl in the evening.

There were 9 loosely filled jars of some of the nicest weed I've had. the super lemon haze is my favorite.

At this point isn't the trim keeping a lot of the brittle resin from falling off? I think I would leave it personally, unless you have a screen to collect all the goodies that fall off. I know a few guys who swear by drying and curing with the trim on, saying it keeps the bud trichs from falling off and some trim trichs fall on the bud. IDK, just playing devil's advocate maybe lol ;)
