Harvesting a Single Bud

Hey everyone, what bud should I pick, near the top middle or bottom when only picking one or 2 buds off a branch around week 7 flower? If the trichomes are cloudy, is doing this okay? I mean, I know it will put a dent in the final weight but I'm more concerned about shortening time frame of getting some smoke than I am about final weight or yield. Thanks 20160109_150304.jpg

I can't go get any I don't know anyone to get it from, and I'm running low on stash . I couldn't imagine taking 1 of my two tops, they are gonna be the best part! But Im only wanting to pull a tiny amount, I could make 1 or 2 grams last until final harvest, which won't be that far behind
I'm interested in the head high from cloudy or clear trichomes, and not the amber couch lock trichomes.

bro you have a ways to go

i wouldnt even contemplate smoking one of those buds yet

id go take my pipes soak in iso, fill a pyrex, light that shit on fire, and scrape..lol
before i toke on them
maybe dont try that lol

you barely have trich production right now. speaking of which, id take that pic to growin section and get her sorted out while you have time, get alot better of a yield and bud if you do

Lots of yellow leaves have ended up getting brushed off or fallen off. I will post a better picture of the plant and trichomes tomorrow when lights come back on. Im almost at week 7

Feed that slut, she's hungry.. If you cut a bud off n dried it.. It would be real airy and have almost no mass..it would taste like smoking a fan leaf.
I second this.
My first harvest (my last harvest, lol), my buddy and I smoked some premie buds. It wasn't worth it mane, it tastes like smoking grass. Then you get all in your head like 'am i high, or na'... When really you're not. It didn't start working until like week 6.5-7, these don't look ready for that at all lol.

What are you growing in by the way...? lol. Is that coco?
Never seen that! Looks like sand.
It is just sand on top of soil because I was having a gnat problem when I first got my soil, now they are long gone. They disappeared about 2 days after I put the sand on top of my pots

I have tiger bloom nutrients or floragro. I'm assuming tiger bloom is best for this stage of plants life? Thanks

I think it looks ok. Maybe some calmag could have been added and more nitrogen in veg and early flower but not bad. Definately two or more weeks left on it. Personaly i take a bud about a week before harvest off of all of my strains and dry it for a week just to see if theyre ok to come down. But i have a few and theyre a little bigger than yours at the end. The way i see it is its your plant, cut the whole thing down premature if you want, then roll one joint outta it because you can if you want. These guys are right that it may not taste great but itll get you high and its your choice. Id lop the lowest branch right off if you want a couple grams. Whole thing, probably give you two and a half grams dry and then the plant might send more food up to the tops. It will also be an eye opener as to how the plants doing taste wise, dry weight wise, and fluffiness of the buds. All these things can be estimated as far as how long until optimal from a tester smoke. Good luck and decent plant for a new grower.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. That sounds like a really good way to think about it. I hope it does send the extra food to the rest of the plant. But I will wait a little while longer and I will post more pictures tomorrow to give you all a better idea of the plant.
Yes bloom is best.

I reviewed your history of posting. You appear to be sincere in your quest for knowledge. Therefore I will impart some.

Anyone who has 3 or more grows under their belt will tell you to keep flowering. More seasoned growers might point out some yellowing and how to address it, give the fact that those have at least 2 weeks to go.

Bottom line, wait unless you are afraid of losing the whole tamale for some reason.

Oh I don't plan to lose the entire thing, however that would be a real shame. I can ride this one out until it's ripe for harvest, and I even have more vegging plants to replace it's spot in the flower tent. The main thing is that i hate to consider myself impatient, I just feel like I need this medicine as soon as I possibly can consume it. So that's the main reason I started this thread.
