Harvesting early?

Hello. I have some ladies in their 64th day of flowering. About 10% of the colas are 50% brown hairs. The other 90% are all still white. On all of them the trichomes are 80% milky. Still no amber. The strain is xxxog (chem og) When I got it I asked for a 60 day strain.. and later found this is 70.

My dilemma is I have to move in 6 days.. maybe 7 max. I have never cut early before and I was wondering what I could expect. It's not totally premature but is it going to be a wasted harvest? I tried supplimenting with 1500ppm co2 the whole time.. good nutes ppm and everything.. temps only got out of control 1 time for 5 hours early in the grow. in the grow.

Also if anyone has any experience with the strain and how long it typically takes? I have one Bubba in there too. That is supposed to be a 60 day strain.. it turned all orage before the xxxog but the Bubba doesn't have 1 amber trichome either.. why are the amber trichomes hiding from me? :/

That's good to hear. I would have liked to see this strain fully mature. It takes a bit but I like the size of the flowers. They smell great too. I am used to growing purps and GDPxak47. I only have a few of those seeds left though so gotta find a way to either keep a mother or I am thinking of making some femanized seeds. Seeds are great but slower than clones so I dunno I'll figure out what I want to grow next time. Yeah I have this place until the 3rd of next month and am moving maybe 10 minutes down the street so I figured I'd let them go until the 30th then cut, quickly get to new place, set up tent with filter, pump lots of fresh air in and begin my peek a boo drying process.

I was just thinking that. Pretty soon the only thing in my apartment will be the tent and ac hah. I am hoping walk through will be the third.. maybe I'll go to the 2nd in that case. I started this though because I have seen several posts for xxxog and bubba saying they finished with amber trichomes in 60 days and I'm like... where's my 60 day finish hah. But I also just read some posts of people letting theirs go over 90 days?? I dunno if I got lucky before but when I used to grow in my garage for a couple years it was like clockwork.. everything was done literally the same time. I would get frustrated because I would have so much to clip. But they would only be maybe 70 days and definitely at half amber.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could move them without drawing attention? Unfortunately they are in a 2x2 slab.. 5 of them are and 1 is separate. The canopy covers a 3x3 area and I used a screen for them so they are entwined together and the net is tied to the poles of the tent. They are 4.5 feet tall. I'd have to get them down a set of stairs. :/ Maybe a refrigerator carboard box if I can find one somewhere hah.

Dunno what else I could give? They are in a grow tent.. it says it is 2x2.. the 120 or something.. but it definitely measures almost 3x3. I could probably cut the net off the tent and put it in the fridge cardboard.. I think there's a sears delivery place around here. I could ask them for a box. Only other measurements I know is they are 4.5 feet tall, canopy is 3x3, tray is 2x2. They have strong branches.. I don't move them now because I have to push very hard.. but they are supported at the 3' mark. Dunno how strong they are without any support but they don't lean against the tent walls.

I've harvested early (week 4 instead of week 6) from grows gone horribly wrong and gotten smokable bud. It was weaker than bud that's properly finished but it was still smokable. If you are only going to be a few days short, I don't think I'd risk getting busted trying to move 4.5 foot tall plants just to get them a few more days in flower. I guess I don't like prison and legal fees as much as some other folks.

You'll probably have some very racy, head buzz smoke. Better than nothing. It's unfortunate though, those would be nice if they could finish.

Somebody1701.. good point. Hopefully 7 days will make a difference and next grow i hope to do better! When these are cut I'll make a little journal and share what I know. :)

that sucks cuz obviously theyre not ripe yet. Sucks to drop out of the race right before the finish line, after months of hard work. thats how I look at it.
But u gotta do what u gotta do sometimes.
Have u started a flush process? Also, u may be able to speed up the process of ripening by giving 13/11 dark. But I need to look that up im not even sure abt that

No I haven't. I flushed before and also tried some in 2 days dark with flush. Both times most drank no water. A few reputable people have said they have great results not flushing and there is the argument that other agricultural products aren't flushed first. I'm gonna try no flushing this time.

IDK...it makes sense to take nutrients out of the plant before drying and smoking it. Ive heard that too, but I would def flush it a week or 2 before harvest.
anyways, I hope it goes good
