harvesting indoor question?

not ready to harvest yet but i can tell that the top buds mature faster probably becuase they get the majority of the light. my plants are in week 7 but the flowers underneath the canopy look like there in week 2 or 3.

my question is if i have alot of flowering beneath the canopy, do i harvest the canopy first and let the lower flowers then get a chance to mature? Have been wondering about this becuase i know i didn't prune my plants the best and theres a significant amount of flowers below the canopy.

will the underdeveloped flowers below mature if i get them a chance instead of cutting the whole plant down at once?

What you're suggesting isn't worth the hassle. LRT...bend them over if possible. I bend mine outward by the roots when the table is flooded.

Yes you can do that just fine. Many growers here do a two stage harvest, some even resume using nutes after they have cut the tops so that the lower buds will mature and put on a little more weight as well.

I can only assume he is growing hydro style and by "table" he means....well a table. One that holds his flood-able pots....a/k/a the flood table? With the rez below. I assume all this since I am not him and do soil myself.

yes u can do it. so u have another area for hanging and drying your plants?
what i think he meant by hassle is that now your adding more grow time, where as if one prunes properly and harvests the whole plant, and dries in the other area, u now can get more harvests per year. and more bigger buds, tops and such.

This was my first attempt at indoor and since i'm only using a horizontal light at the top, i can now see why the tops develop more and why i should've pruned more. Light penetrates underneath but its not nearly as good as the tops. Well i'm living and learning.

I'll start harvesting in another week or two and see where it takes me. Next winter i'll definitely prune more to do a single harvest. The only thing i dread is having to pay for more energy i use in this 1000w set up...oh well..it'll be worth it i guess.

Thanks with one other thing. I do not use pots. The table I use for a 1kw/hps is 3'x3'x8" filling it almost full of rocks. This will allow the taproot more places to go you know.
