Harvesting Soon

I checked out the trichomes today and from what I could see most of them are cloudy and a couple are amber. This is week seven of flowering (starting tomorrow)and this strain is supposed to go 42-60 days so I thought that next weekend might be the right time. What do you guys think? I've attached a picture (leaves got a little burnt by the light).

Have any of the hairs turned brown? I'm surprised you are seeing amber already... but if you are seeing a good mix of cloudy and amber trichs then cut her down.

A lot of the hairs have not started to turn color yet, that's why I was going to wait another week. I also haven't changed to plain water yet which I plan on doing one day this week. I did take some more pics, they're attached

I guess I will if you guys think they're ready to be cut down. I thought it was still too early, and to make things more difficult the light on my microscope won't come one. Changed the batteries and checked the bulb not sure what the problem is. Anyway here's to another harvest!

Say Mo,
From the pictures, those plants don't look anywhere near finished to me. I don't see any withered pistils and I'm sure that you are not seeing any amber trichomes. I would continue growth for 2 more weeks, and then flush for 1 week. Take them on Day 63.

It looks like you have some kind of heat problem, or not enough fresh air, the leaf edges are badly damaged.

The problem is space I let these plants get too tall before I started flowering them and the leaves that are damaged are way to close to the MH. That's not a problem anymore though I have them tied down away from the light. Anyway switched to plain water this morning before I could read your post Potroast and it is extremely difficult to take them out and change the water so I'm going to let it go (tops are very heavy and all tied down). I'll let them go as long as I can (at least until this weekend) but I do have clones that need to be moved and new clones that need to be taken. Currently I have all of my lights on these two flowering plants and four clones. So I need to get the clones under the MH so I can take clones from them and put them under the fluorescents. It's almost time to put a few outside which will solve a lot of problems but that's not for another month. So limited time and space are beginning to force my hand, but like I said I will let them mature for as long as I can. Thanks for the advice.

After giving it some thought I will let them go for another week and a half. Next Thursday will be day 52 and I'm thinking that I will be out of options by that time with the clones growing at an incredible rate. What do you guys think about a week and a half with nothing but plain water? I don't want the potency to suffer due to inadequate flowering time, but will it? If so how noticeable is it going to be? I realize that these questions are open to opinion and relative to the weed that you're used to but estimates are fine with me. It's simply a matter of time and space available and they're both extremely limited.

Start flushing now...it can't hurt em. By the looks of them, (i dont know how fast they're growing) I'd take em down about a week or so

I know that these pics are really bad but you can make out the amber colored trichomes (since Potroast doesn't have any faith in my ability to distinguish color, lol) I'm still learning to focus the camera manually, and not making much progress apparently.

going purely by the numerous amber coloured trichs id say you are bang on the money with flushing now as those trichs look like you will get a nice couch lock as they outnumbered either the milky or clear if any,my sugar babes are just behind yours at day 46 flowering and already i have quite a few amber trichs and was surprised as i could crop now so she grew fast and well so started flush procedure and will probably cut about the same time you do:) il post some pics and we can compare our achievement together!lol i can see why they call her sugar babe!sugar=thc=mmmmmmm!!!!

Nope not ready yet. They are looking very good but you still have a few weeks to go. Maybe 3. Don't cut yet.
