You may know or may not know when to harvest. Use a hand held jewelers loop 30x. Buy it from amazon - its a lot less expensive then at a "Bud" type of store.

If you buy them most places you will pay a lot more for cheaper quality. I know of some who paid up to 30 bucks for cheap plastic that is really inconvenient to adjust, focus and analysis.
Jeweler(s) loop is the key. I've actually seen sets of 3 for 5 bucks (plus 4 bucks S&H). That is far less then the 420 scopes etc.
