Harvesting - Uneven Growth

Question for you guys,

It is approaching harvest time quick (this weekend) yet my plant is not evenly ready. The top colas look prime but there are plenty of other sites that are just not ready yet.

How does it work with autos in this respect? If I chop down the colas that are ready, will the plant keep on going?

How does it work with nutes? I cut off nutes about a week ago and flushed this past weekend in anticipation for this weekends harvest.

Not sure how to proceed as I was planning on cutting down the whole main stalk and not pick and choose which colas are gonna be harvested.

Any of you experience uneven growth and how did you handle it?

Ive never really noticed a difference in ones picked a few days later. Theyd get a little more dense if left for an extra week but anything less than that really had no effect. Couldnt tell the difference between choppin all the buds at once and doin it week by week.

Yes, of course take the top colas, leave the rest for however long they need to mature. Look at it this way botanically: Do you chop down the entire tomato plant after plucking the first ripe tomato? Same deal here.....

It's really up to the grower whether or not to chop the whole plant. Myself I just chop the whole plant but there are hardcores here that pick a bud here and there and let the rest grow a little longer.
