i've started mine also and mine is quite a long flowering strain. around 85 days apparently. i will let you guys know when i harvest.

from further reading and the sites someone posted, i think this will work well. great for users who require quick flowering. very suitable on the SOG method i think.

Let us know how it goes.:peace:

I made a new light schedule by counting out the hours, not going to use any of the posted schedules. I had my lights stay on for 21 hours yesterday. Not exactly good for a budding plant. I dont know if it was my mistake or a mistake in the posted schedule but it didnt work. This one is perfect for most of the digital timers out there. I know mine has 8 on/off settings. This one is dual outlet. Its worth it if you decide to go this route. It has a backup battery in it, so it wont get messed up if the power goes out.

Here is the light schedule, it's a 21 hour schedule 9/12

ON OFF
Day 1 12:00pm 9:00pm Thursday
Day 2 9:00am 6:00pm Friday
Day 3 6:00am 3:00pm Saturday
Day 4 3:00am 12:00pm Sunday
Day 5 12:00am 9:00am Monday
Day 6 9:00pm 6:00am Mon-Tue
Day 7 6:00pm 3:00am Tue-Wed
Day 8 3:00pm 12:00am Wed-Thur

After 8 days = 9 days.
After 8 weeks (56 days) = 9 weeks 1 day ahead (64 days).

You gain a full day every 8 days.

Puff if you look at myfirst post the initial schedule was for 18 hours. Lights would remain on for 6 hrs & 40 mins & off for 12. 21 hours would be kind of hectic. Where did you find that one? Anyway your adjustments look way better. Let us know how things are coming along. Your plants look goodby the way. :peace:

I think screwed up when I was converting to military time. At any rate this schedule fits those timers perfectly. Thanks for all the good ideas!

That's the same timer that came with my AgroStar 400w light systems. How do you like programming that bad boy?... lol This is great, we'll get to see experiments with 2 different light modification schedules.

well i am doing an 18 hour day using 6/12 as seen by someone on IC. not too pleased about the reduced rate of growth as my plant was too young for flowering but had no choice but to do due to future circumstances. anyway i started flowering on monday and i am seeing pistils already. some people get these during the vegetative stage but my plant is too young for that, here's a pic below to see how young she is. 3 weeks yesterday but was in natural sunlight for almost a week and a half and there wasnt much of it at that. its been under an MH for the remaining week and a half.

will get a close up of the pistils once they get bigger and the plant increases in size a bit more. right not its only about 6" tall

Probably should have let it veg for a little bit longer. But circumstances are circumstances. Will you be using an HPS for the continuance of flower?

I was really tempted to try this schedule but I am already in week 3 of flowering and did not want to stress my ladies. I wish you all good luck and if things turn out well I will be implementing this on my next grow. /subscribed

so is this a good schedule? my girls are on a 12/12 day 24 flowering, I was wondering if I set my timer which is able to do this to this cycle if it would be worth while ?

Dont make any adjustments this late into flowering it may cause you to get hermies. Wait for your next grow. :peace:

Yes, if you are already flowering under a 12/12 lighting schedule then just leave it at that for the entire grow. You need to have a plan from the beginning. Don't stray from it because of new ideas. If you want to try something new, just wait till your next grow. Get a few regular style grows under your belt first or you will have no info to base your new grows on. You won't know if you are making improvements on the yields unless you know what to expect off of a normal one. I too am interested in this new light schedule but i will just wait to see what the other members results are before i attempt it myself. But good luck to everyone that is doing this.
