it's called the WaterFarm from General Hydroponics... i plan on buying them tomorrow... i was wondering if the system was good and one more thing.. can the sprouts be grown in that system or is it too big for the sprouts? oh! and i'm also getting the dark room 120 with accessory kits.. they come with Vortex 4" Centrifugal Fan - 172 cfm , Dutch Breeze Carbon Air Filter Dutch Breeze Carbon Air Filter - DFS2 , 4" Flex. They are good re-circulation systems but spend the extra few quid and go for the Aqau Farm which is the next model up. It's the same only a bit bigger, If your only doing one plant you may as well have the option to grow it as big as you like.
I prefer to build my own set ups but that dark room doesn't look a bad deal if it fits in to your space well and you don't want the hassle.

A tray-based flood system is much less complex and much easier to maintain.



Plants are grown in regular plastic pots as used for soil. Not shown in the animation is an air pump driving an air stone in the tank.



My flood system based op runs Fytocell media but there's several options such as perlite, rockwool or clay pellets. The difference is the watering interval, water storage amount in each pot and amount of oxygen to the roots. Media which tolerates more frequent flooding gets more O2 to the roots, increasing vigor.
