Has anyone here used Aeroflo2 60 system before?

I am on week 2 of flower with my Aeroflo2 60 system and I'm starting to see some problems with my plants' 'personal space. My plants are staggered like checkers, using only 30 sites to allow for more room. I have a variety of strains to see which like this system better. The problem I ran into is that while some strains stretched comfortably to about 2.5 feet and started budding nicely, another stretched higher and some others are now getting blocked by the bigger ones and not growing so hot anymore. I can see now that I shouldn't let several plants get so bit in this setup but I just gotta finish up this grow so I can build on top of it in my next one.

Basically, my question is, to whoever may have used this type of system, what is the optimal size to start flowering to keep them from aggressively competing for the canopy in order to get optimal results from this.

Thanks,

I run the aeroflo 36 and I must say that crowding is usually an issue. My first run was with 36 cream caramel autoflowers and it didn't turn out so well due to the crowding. (8oz) I would advise that if you are taking clones to not veg for more than a week, 11 days at most, at most before flipping to 12/12. I am currently waiting for my clones to root so that I can attempt a run at 36 Critical + in a SOG style grow in the aero to see how it turns out, and I won't be vegging at all before hitting them with 12/12. Best of luck.

Like bmw said------start very small in flowering. you can also thin your canopy (painful to do do).

A light mover will help some. you can also tie the tallest ones to the lower part of the main stalk.

Not on line much these days,

Yeah, I started flowering at 2 ft and even though I staggered my plants, a few went out of control. I am pretty happy with the canopy right now but it is disproportional with some plants thriving and others barely getting any light. Next grow I'm definitely sticking to one strain and gonna flower them at about one foot. Thanks guys for the input.

I use my own built version which is 4 posts with 9 sites on each so 36 sites. I put my rooted clones in veg for about 7-10 days which the plants get to about 6-8 inches tall then I do my lollipop and fim. I then veg 3-5 days more so plants are in that 8 inch tall area then I go 12/12. I flower for about 6 weeks and finish plants are about 2 to 3 feet finished max. I built pvc row supports for mine. These should be used with a single strain to avoid weird growth heights. Not really made for large bushes indicas work best in these setups.

How are you all vegging your plants? I can't veg my ladies in the aeroflo 36 I just got because of veg space restrictions. So any ideas of how I might do it.

What do you mean you cant veg in the unit??? You put your rooted clones in for like 10 dayish then into flower. Your not going to grow big plants in this thing you know that right? These are real good for scrog or sea of green. I finish with plants around 2 or so feet. If you cant veg plants to just under a foot then something is setup wrong. The drawback to thier design is they dont really give you and easy way to spread the posts apart. In my version i showed here how to build you decide how far between the posts you want. I gave myself 10 inches between each post so that helps me. With these I think best you can do is fan the posts open but you have to add a longer pipe to the end holder so you can fan the ends out some.

I use a tent to veg in. The system is too big to be placed in there with my other plants. I might make a veg unit. Granted my veg area is a decent size. It is just not big enough for the unit. The aeroflo 36 is just me having fun with a different system. For me it will be just 36 plants with 1 week veg. Hell I might just veg them in my aero cloner.

I have run these in a 4x8 tent before. I just root my clones in trays then they go right into the unit to veg until done flowering they stay in. I found rooms 8x8 work much better though.
