Has anyone tried Currant Kush (VIP Seeds)?

I've been interested in this strain, especially because the photos make it look beautiful- a very frosty purple.

Has anybody tried it, and could you give me a review? I've only seen a couple, and VIP themselves say the flavor has been described as minty, fruity, sweet, and that no two people taste it alike. I was curious if this is true, I like that idea a lot actually.
Just sprouted currant kush, critical kush, incredible bulk, and delahaze all popped and doing good will keep you posted

How is your Fruit Punch doing? I have one indoor right now, and I'm just really impressed with it so far, yours are eight feet? That's badass. Also super interested in the Currant Kush.
it's coming out better than expected, it looks and smells amazing

I know this is a lil old now..but I'm gonna be running some fruit punch this year and was interested in the yield and potency. ..what did you have them growing in as far as soil mixes and pot size

Re: Fruit Punch this is my review;

Decent flavor, nice joint weed, not overly potent, seems to wear off quickly, not bad though. Also the most larfy airy light-weight bud I've grown to date. A whole quart jar basically full of colas barely weighed an ounce dry, weird. I've grown several other strains and had some very dense nugs under the same methods. Flowers are nonetheless very crusty with trichs and nice after a two-month cure, but early in the cure not nice at all, pretty harsh. Surprise loser in the yield category vs the other three plants I grew that run. Whatever, not impressed, but if I could grow it outdoor I'd probably feel differently. This is a very stealth low-budget indoor grow we're talking about.

Wait on this flower until at least a month of good cure time.

I know that all sounded sort of negative, but I really like it now. It is a very clear, uplifting high, it doesn't last long but it smokes nice. Not what I'd call a cash crop strain, but you may get a much better pheno, or maybe it just doesn't like my setup. It sure was a pretty plant, and the fan leaves went to eleven fronds!

Damn..that kinda makes me feel better...did you have them in soil if so what mix did you use if I may ask
I had a mix of FF Ocean Forest, Black Gold Organic (fungus gnats, everywhere) and extra perlite with a small number of amendments including dolomitic lime. 2:1 FFOF and Light Warrior mixed up the same way worked better.

I've recently started growing (chilis and tomatoes) in passive drip-to-waste coco and perlite with some GrowStone Aerator chunks mixed in, I'll never go back to dirt unless I'm outside.

I start inside but move out as soon as possible. ..I am gonna try the moonshine mix this season with my own twist in it...kinda sounds like what u done...I hear the raredankness monnshine mix I'd pretty amazing ...if I could have gotten started a lil earlier I planned on mixing my own soIL but hopefully what I'm concocting up will work just fine...I know I use to use MG moisture control and another few things way back when and it seemed to make my shit fluffy ...not all the time but i think it played a role

Black Gold organic seems decent, it was bad luck the one I got had gnats. Rare Dankness seeds are the shit, the Moonshine Mix was something I saw after I made that batch. I got 4 big bags of that Black Gold for about $8 a piece, they were mis-priced at Fred Meyer for a week.

I plan on buying enough ff of ..pm..and lw plus chunky perlite to make at least 400 gal.. then I'm gonna try out the lucky dog and some HF soil conditioner and mix it with some dirt from my old pig pen and make a patch from it right in the ground...all of the moonshine mix I make will go into 100 gal and 45 gal smart pots...but I'm looking to save money because where I live absolutely nobody carried fox farm products and if they do they won't have them in until April and I think it just o.f...do u know of anything I could sub for the planting mix or light warrior that is of equal quality or close to and not as high

If I'm not mistaken rare dankneas calls for black gold in their moonshine mix...if not them Im sure I read it where some one who I wouldn't min putting trust into calls for the bg...I know jorge cervantes uses it in a mix I seen him make...that was gonna be my mix ..it looks pretty healthy imo

It is listed in the Moonshine Mix, and I would try it again, but I might try to buy it earlier in spring. It seems fine to me, overall, but I know that's where I got the gnats, too.

The mix I was gonna try was o.f ...ff planting mix..light warrior..dolomite lime..happy frog starter ...happy frog fruit and flower..earthworm castings....pretty much the basic moonshine mix recipes iv found but they say not to fertilize the entire season...but I make my own fish emulsion I'll be using along with some age old products. ..they always seem to make my shit go nuts...a lot of mycorrhizae ...bat shit that iv gathered from old barns and buildings...a few teas and just basically watch my plants and let them tell me if they need anything ...next year if I can get everything gathered I'm gonna try to make my own soil aND do a side by side comparison of two ta four clones on my mix w.o any amendments aginst the moonshine mix...
