Ok you must be a newbie to this. Because any one with any real experience knows that thc and the cannabanoids are NOT water soluble. If you've ever tryd to make canna tea you would know this. What you want to do with your trimmings assuming they have VISIBLE thc present is to make sure its all chopped up pretty finely. Next go to the hardware store and get ur self a lenght of pvc pipe about a foot long and about an inch and a half two inches wide, depends on how much trim ur workin with. But either of those specs will work find so it all depends on what you can find. Now get end caps for both sides. Then make your purchase and move on to an albertsons or a 7-11 to buy your butane. Do not buy all your products at the same store, unless you dont care about being suspected of making a felonie substance. Your going to need alot of butane. If you can only find the small canisters get a lot of em. It will add up in cost quite quickly but believe me dont get the cheap stuff!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY CHEAP BUTANE. GEt the stuff with the red cap and white can or the stuff with the blue cap and black can is ok but the red cap stuff is the best. It leaves the least amount of impurities in my experience. ANd while it may cost about 4 times as much as buying a huge can of the cheap stuff it will get you higher and taste a whole Hell of a lot better. The cheap butane leaves a strong butane flavor on the palate and you can literally see crystals of butane in your oil. ANd the color is a sorta brownish tan as opposed to a clear honey golden with the expensive butane. Ok enough about quality control.
Take your end caps and make about 6 or 7 small holes on one end cap, and just one hole on the other and make sure the one hole is big enough to stick the nozzle of the butane in. Now either take a pipe screen or a coffee filter and stick either or on the end with the multiple holes, coffee filter is what i would personaly use.Take the coffe filter and rubber band it on the outside of the end cap. Now with the multi holed end cap securely on one end start filling your pvc pipe with the trim. Id use about an ounce at a time. Dont pack it down just let it sorta settle. now that your tube is filled put on the other end cap. NOw go outside, dont ever fukin do this insides. take a plate or a pyrex dish which is wat i use and hold your pvc over the plate. NOw take your butane and stick the nozzle in to the end cap and release the butane. IT may take several cannisters but keep filling the pipe with butane till it comes dripping out the other side. Now during this whole process make sure there is no one smoking any where near you, id even advise to turn off all electric devices as all it takes is one shock and you can say good buy to your hand and say hello to a world of pain. NOw let the butane drip out all the way. Then wait for it to evaporate which wont take very long as butane has a ridiculously low boiling point its basicly room temp. So now you should have a light golden sap like substance on your plate and your gonna want you get a straight edge razor and scrape it all up. id put it in the fridge as it will tend to get really runny and gooey if left in room temp. as for a container i always leave my oil on the razor and just let it sit in my fridge. But you could use a tiny little plastic jar or some thing like a carmex lip balm container. I once got a boat load of oil delivered to me in a carmex container and this thing worked great for keepin the oil and takin it on the go.
