A very simple recipe.

3 Poblano Peppers
1/2 lb roast beef
2 small onions
1/2 lb mushrooms
Cheese
Rolls
Worcestershire sauce (get the good kind, its worth the dollar more)

I took half a pound of mushrooms, two onions, and 3 poblano peppers. I cut them to my liking. Add a small amount of oil and however much hash you want, mushrooms, onions and peppers to a pan and turn on medium heat until it starts to brown slightly.

Turn the stove to low and let cook until the veggies are almost done, now slice your roast beef up and throw it in, stir. Let cook until veggies are done to your liking.

Put the mixture into a roll, cover with cheese, and put in the oven until the cheese is melting.

Garnish with mayo and/or Worcestershire sauce.

Enjoy

cheesesteaks are delicious but I did not read the full recipe where he just says to add some hash into the veggis. Sounds like it could be good but, you better regulate that tempurature or else you waste your hash. Have you ever used cream cheese on a philly cheesesteak, it is quite delicious.

I turn the veggies on high, cook them for a bit, turn it on low, then add the hash. Mostly just after its all done. Sorry, I had a few when I wrote it.

what makes it a hash cheese steak and not a regular one?
Because it has hash in it. Thats like asking why call pot brownies what they do. Ive never see anyone use poblanos in a regular cheese steak. The poblanos give a nice mellow heat, and a better flavor (especially if you grill them first)

I didnt see it in the ingredients list, didnt really read the actual steps to the recipe. For me a cheese steak is just common knowledge (Im a chef). I meant no offense just was wondering if was something you created after some hot knives or something. The poblano's would be great I was thinking a Anaheim Poblano medley. I am thawing some mahi-mahi right now so I can make fish tacos for lunch tomorrow.

The poblano really kicked up the flavor. It made a world of difference and its a lot cheaper than green peppers too.
