Hey,
I wanted to know if it's possible to simply boil the trichomes out. This is what I tried: I put some low grade buds in boiling water and cooked it until the soup was brown (ca. 2 hours). Then I used a fine metal mesh strainer to remove the greens. After that I let the sap boil down on a very low temperature until ca. 99% of the water was evaporated. I received 8 grams of nice brown hash (if I am allowed to call that hash) from one ounce of weed. I just had a tea with one gram and it feels very good. But here is my question: Since everyone is swearing the bubble hash method I was wondering if the cooking process decreases the potency of the THC?
Any thoughts on this topic? Since Water boils at 212 F and Vaporizer use 365 F I thought it was worth a try. But who knows what is really going on with THC once you boil it?
Thanks
