There is no shame in any job done well. I'm not proud, and I'm not afraid to get dirty. There's just no work here right now. We've got the fourth highest applicant to open position ratio in the country right now.

Here's a tale: My best buddy, a master carpenter with 30 years experience, recently applied for a job at Lowe's. He didn't get it. The Human Resources lady told him that they had 650 applicants for the three open positions.

Craigslist is damn near useless out here. It seems that there's a whole bunch of motherfuckers that will work at a loss or just to break even. Breaking even doesn't pay any bills.

Get yourself over to Ebay man , set up as a seller.I do it as a hobby and started with nothing , just buying what i knew i could resell at a profit. When i check my sellers earnings now after 2 years ive made over 15k , and thats part time maybe do auctions once a week, muliple auctions though all ending on the same day. With what ive earned i sink a percentage back in buying more stuff , doesnt matter what as long as you know you'll make money. In my case it was old coins, money for old rope buddy.

D S M, Im feelin ya man. There is almost nobody hiring around me. The places that are hiring are fast food places that act like you need a college degree to filp a burger. SO many places have told me " Oh we will call you for an interview" and never get that call. I have managed to get 2 interviews, and then a week later the position was filled by someone else. In one case it was because it was someone in the owners family needed a job so they got it.

FUCK finding a job in norcal my brother. Ive been applying everywhere for a year and have only had 3 interviews witch lead to nothing.

It sucks but keep your head up friend. Seems like the only way to get a job nowadays is if someone you know is a goddamn manager.
