Hazeman Seeds - Mikado

Mikado was made by the Federation seed company. Hazeman Seeds wanted to preserve one more good old strain. This is what they have to say about it at Seed finder... Predominantly Indica. The Mikado is a quick maturing, large-yielding strain with a long jagged single leaf pattern. Under 18 hours of light, the stems and leaves are coated with resin. The female plants show hairs pretty quickly making sexing easy. Liked for its long-lasting high, Mikado can be harvested 45 days after flowering has started. Perfect for a SOG. Mikado-420x420[1].jpg
I already have five of these growing. I basically will be looking for the grapefruit or raspberry jam pheno. I plan to select the 2 best parents and to breed with them. I will be using a Quantum Bad Boy T5 6 lamps for lighting. Roots Organics Big Buddha Grow and SNS Bloom for nutes. Lastly, I will be growing in recycled Roots Organics 707 in 6x6x8 gropro pots. I should have picture updates weekly.

#2 really has my interest. It's first set of true leaves have developed 3 blades. I'm curious to see if it matures faster then the rest.
Thanks for stopping in

Day 14 - The Mikado's are doing great. I did try some pinching and crimping on 4 of the plants with only one success on plant #1. The other 3 I tried in a row ended up snapping. I can't manage to properly pinch when stoned. I'm not sure why that is
Anyways the 3 got topped at the second node and just finally started to push new growth. I plan to take clones from the lower branches. I will be using the honey technique for the first time. Hope all goes well.

I've grown Chimera Grapefruit x Blueberry.. the grapefruit leaning plants were FANTASTIC.. would love to find something like that in this pack..
