NO, but the first sentence was, which is what I'm referring to. When I pointed out that the bold WASN'T redivider's statement at all, you insisted you weren't "in error", even though you were.

Seriously, can you NOT admit you were wrong even once when it's obvious that you were?

You have a problem.
He feels that way about you as well and I feel that way about both of you. I didn't read what you print screened and posted doob, but if he really was wrong than he shouldn't deny it. Same goes for you and everyone.

I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, for real. It just fires me up that CJ insists I'm "always" wrong, when he obviously can't even READ to make that determination.

When I fuck up, I have no issue owning it. I'm not perfect and I wouldn't want to be. Way too much pressure bongsmilie

Good. Seeing the lighter side of people is good especially after so much debate (can we even really call it that?).

I think one major difference between the parties is that the left is concerned more with the short-term (quick passes through Washington on important issues) and the right more so with the long-term (complete financial instability and taxes).

Just something I noticed lately.

hmmm... I don't know about that, but the right are generally more concerned with taxes. Just look at GWB, for instance, he obviously didn't care about what his fiscal policies did to the economy in the long run or he wouldn't have done half the stupid things he did. But he cut taxes for the wealthy, and the repubs loved him for it.

Clinton had us set up for a budget surplus for 25 years, so he was looking quite a bit into the future, wouldn't you say?

Education is another democratic issue, and quite a forward-looking one at that.

I don't agree with the dems trying to rush this health care thing through, but republican Congresses have done the same thing in the past.

It's all politics, and it's all equally crooked if you ask me. I just identify more with liberal ideals than conservative ones. I don't align myself with any politicians. Period.

GWB did what he did because he had to. We had to respond to a terror attack, did we not? That's the key difference.

Look at a bit more extreme example. Say we were nuked, would you be thinking about the future deficit a war might create, or would you be thinking more about the protection of the country? That's the key difference.

It is all crooked and they are all crooks. People are concerned with taxes because we want to spend as much time in freedom as possible. That's what America is based on, freedom. When we have to work more hours to handle increased taxes, we have less time to spend with family, friends, anything that is FREEDOM.

Survival is the one physical requirement of freedom. Got to handle survival responsibilities before we get to do what we want.

That's why some people work as little as possible and live the most free life they can.

Some parents are even more concerned with their child's future so they work extra to accomplish paying for the child's college so they can have a successful financial future, which means more freedoms in life.

I'm not talking about the war. It's expensive, sure, but it's really just a small part of the debt he put us into. I'm talking about the tax cuts for the wealthy, the medicare prescription drug plan, the Patriot Act and resulting creation of the DHS (basically a money sink in the name of national "security"), and the numerous other spending bills that we couldn't afford, can't afford, and will never be able to afford.

It's like a parent running up 1000s of dollars in debt while their child is young, and when they turn 18 - presenting them with the bill and expecting them to pay it.

It makes me grimace to think of the money Obama has spent, when we're already so far in the hole - but at least he's trying to funnel the money into things that will help us GROW in the long run - even if it takes 10 years to see the benefit.

I agree with your points on GWB, but that's exactly what Obama is doing. Spending bills we can't afford. He's trying to funnel into things that grow and help in the long run?

He said he wasn't even aware federal money was going to ACORN (which I don't believe, he knew, which is even worse). Shouldn't he know exactly where tax payer money is going if he's going to help us GROW in the long run?

The last president started it and our current president isn't doing much to finish it.

Legitimate point, however I feel the need to point out that there are SO many entities who receive federal dollars that knowing "exactly" where tax payer money is going and in what increments would be virtually impossible. Besides that, it's kind of Congress' job to keep track of the tax money =)

Yes, things that help us grow in the long run. Getting the economy back on track, reforming health care, encouraging public service and volunteerism, "green" initiatives, job creation, education, that sort of thing.

Of course, one has to remember that he's still a politician. The things he says may sound good, but whether or not he actually pulls them off (or even tries to) is another matter entirely.

Again . you need to work on your reading comprehension. Hom3 stripped him of his equation and regardless of the BOLD type, I was referring to the previous post by Hom3, not the bold type.

Even after Redivider was shown to be in error, he kept going with the same nonsense.

Wow...

P.S. ur a bit anal retentive.

You're inventing things again. Here is what happened, which the screenshots clearly show.

hom36grown made a comment to redivider. redivider responded to hom36grown's comment while quoting that comment in bold type and quotation marks. You came along, completely unware that redivider was quoting hom36grown (because you either didn't read the post, or weren't paying attention) and attributed the bold text to redivider saying he admitted in his first sentence that his equation was wrong (when that first sentence was actually hom36grown's sentence and NOT redivider's) yet continued to "blather on".

This is where I came in to correct you, stating that the sentence discrediting his eequation was not his own (it wasn't, it was a quote from hom36grown). You contended that you were not in error and proceeding to attack my reading comprehension skills and ability to follow a thread. Someone else joined you in the heckling, before redivider came back along and confirmed that I was correct and the statement you attributed to him was, in fact, not his statement at all.

Anal retentive? Perhaps, but I DO pay attention - very close attention - unlike yourself.

and you still can't follow it? Lawdy....

You say I was completely unaware... not me. You always make assumptions and then answer them urself.

I was aware that redivider's equation was in error. I didn't care about the type in bold. That was not the comment i was talking about.

You are lost in ur own confusion.

You're really reaching, and you know it as well as I do.

You clearly said "your first sentence", when his first sentence was a quote from another poster. The first sentence in that quote is the ONLY part of his post that could be construed as contradictory to his own argument.

If it were not the comment you were talking about, then why did you not say "that's not the comment I was referring to" instead of "I am not in error, recheck if you wish"?

Seriously, you've got to get a grip on reality. Get outside, do SOMETHING other than sit on your ass trying to feign intelligence on the internet. It's clear you possess only the bare minimum required to sustain life, you really ought to embrace it. You could have a great time collecting odd-looking twigs, or something else that doesn't require coherent thought. Skipping stones, perhaps?

i find it rather ironic that you are telling someone to "go outside". did you have to create a "new folder" just told hold all the screenshots?

It took all of around 4 minutes to take screenshots and paste them into paint. 4.... minutes..... Wow, that's a really long time isn't it? I was stuck here in front of the computer doing nothing else for FOUR WHOLE MINUTES! That's like, less than a thousandth of the day. I can't believe I wasted SO much time! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, fdd... Really. I could almost brush my teeth in the time it took me to do those screenshots. What I was I thinking?

That's about one minute spent on each one and no, I have plenty of "old folders" already.

So because I'm logged in and parked on a thread, that means I'm sitting in front of the computer the whole time?

I posted a response at about 9:30, and another 15 minutes later.

If you really must know what I was doing for those other 11 minutes that I was "sitting" on this thread, I was playing tooth fairy for my daughter which required a quick run to the ATM machine down the block. How can I recall this? Because unlike most people here, I'm SOBER.

I already had the screenshots, all I had to do was cut the relevant parts and paste them into one image file and upload it.
