So heres a lil update. Yesterday was 2 weeks from the 12/12 switch for my 4 plants, and 1 week for the god bud plant. All the ladies are looking amazing, except one of the plants the leafs are curling inward kinda wierd.. I think i'm gonna flush them out tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be from. You can see what i'm talking about in the pictures.

I am confused about your set up a little. How does your tent ventilation work? Also you seem to have too many fans in your tent, not sure why but that seems to be a lot of fans blowing inside. How is your Filter working if its outside the tent? I would recommend you get that bad boy inside and mount it at the highest point inside your tent, pulling the inside air out of your tent. If that made sense?

I wanted to ask you about your flushing methods too. I think I read something about you flushing your plants with Molasses? I just did a test with Molasses/Water and believe it or not Molasses will block out the "N" in your soil. Thats why I recommend not using Molasses till the last two to three weeks of Flowering because "N" is no longer needed at the end of flowering. But hey thats my opinion and thats what I learned from messing with Molasses. My Herojuana OG plant I was giving Molasses with feedings 2 weeks after I started to Flower her and she was getting a full dose of "N" but the Molasses was locking it out making my Fan Leaves turn yellow cause the plant was using its own "N". So I asked around on RIU and what came out of why my leaves were turning yellow with a full dose of "N" because the Molasses was locking it out. So just wanted to give you some info on Molasses and what I went through using it and testing with it.

Plants are looking good, I love your little Buddy Jesus figurine!!! Its awesome!!!

Peace

Hey what's up man! You know we really wanted to put that filter inside the tent, but the Fucking thing is so heavy we were scared that the tent won't hold its weight. So what we dis was the fan sucking air out of the tent push the air through and out the filter. But I know what u mean. It'll do a lot better inside the tent. I think well just down grade a size on the filter. As for all the fans in the tent they are all on the lowest setting. Just in there to stir up the air and strengthen up the branches. Should I not have that many in there? None of them are directly blowing on the plants kinda pointed away a bit. And thanks for the heads up with the molasses.. I woulda prolly started to freak out if they started yellowin early.. how about that sweet stuff from botanicare. Would that be the same as the molasses.. and thanks for the info and help man

Are you blowing INTO the filter? What CFM is that fan? and is that actually working? I know that you always want to PULL air through whatever you are working with, not push it through, so if that's working then awesome, But if you have any smell whatsoever other than that carbon filter smell, then it's gotta change cuz that filter you have right there should filter a 2 story house lol.

BJ my tent is 4'x4'x7' and its a piece of shit cheap one from Ebay. No name or anything. I am using a 6" Carbon Filter , 8" Glass CoolTube, 6" 440CFM Fan all of that is being supported on those cheap skinney ass tent poles in the overhead. You would be surprised how much those little poles can support. I highly recommend you get everything inside your tent. I have mine set up like this....Air gets pulled through my Filter then through the cool tube and out my tent to the window exhausting out my window. So no smell of MJ and it keeps my light nice and cool. I posted pics of how my stuff is hanging off those same little poles you got in your tent. Try to keep the Filter high so it pulls all the hot air that rises to the top. Now with your fans....I look at it like this, why would I have 4 fans running low when I can have 1 fan running high rotating back and forth. Dont forget, fans generate heat so with that many fans going at low seems to be an overkill and could raise your tent temps IMO. Hope that helps, if you want I can draw up a diagram for how you can set up your tent, just PM me with all your stuff that you have and I will do it on Paint and post on your thread.

EDIT:"I just looked at your tent pics and it doesnt seem to be sucking in at all. You want to have your tent a little sucked in with Negative pressure."

Peace Bro.

Hey man our nutrients are molasses-based as opposed to salt-based and we use molasses for every compost tea and for a lot of waterings. And I would definitely say it paid off 100%, especially with the headband! We do however use Hi-Brix molasses. http://www.greenfireshop.com/cart/index.php?productID=727

We also flush with water and molasses two weeks to harvest, like you, and the final week just water.

Never tried that and didnt even know Earth Juice made it, I use Earth Juice Micro Blast and I really like it, do you have their whole lineup? I use Blackstrap Molasses.

Well I feed upto 3-5 days before I drown my plant instead of traditionally flushing and feed just water for 2 weeks. When I say drown I literally drown my whole soil container fully submerged in water to kill off my plant, it speeds the curing process. I just recently did a test drowning my plant using Water/Molasses, its in Riddleme Thread called: The Truth About Flushing. As far as flushing goes, I flush my plants every single time the need to be fed and I also feed nutes every feeding. I flush my soil with 5.8 - 6.0 water wait 15 minutes and then I feed with nutes.

Yo man yea thanks for the help.. I was wondering why our temps were getting hotter when we kept adding fans into the tent. never really thought of the fans creating heat, but it makes perfect sense lol. So i think this is what we'll do. We will have the one fan that goes back and forth in the tent, and pull out the others. Thanks a ton BKB!! I'll be pm you in just a few!

Nice man i didn't know that earth juice made a molasses either! I use the blackstrap molasses also. I wonder if i should hold of on using that, and just use it in the last few weeks.

Well I used it on my Herojuana OG plant with feeding and not flushing and it started to block out the "N" my fan leaves were turning yellow while I had fed it a full dose of "N" so thats how I confirmed that it was blocking "N" out cause I was drowning my plant with Molasses/Water and that was the first thing it did, block out "N" and turned her yellow. You can see the pics in my journal. Also you can read about it in this thread that has tons of great info on flushing: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/409622-truth-about-flushing.html Another great thread by Riddleme....I follow him and practice his growing methods. I might go pick up some of the Earthjuice Molasses and try feeding and leeching with it.

Nice that sounds pretty inventive. People underestimate what you can do with your plants! Well, we use Earth Juice's Sugar Peak lineup. And we complement it with EJ Catalyst, that molasses, and a compost tea mixture. I'll have to check out your thread. Buddy J your babies are lookin lush and wonderful! Fun thread.

Another thing is if you are having heat issues, get the room the tent is in to way lower heat than what you want your closed off tent at. My closet was sitting at 86-90 degrees with the outside of the closet being about 75-78. My room is now sitting at about 60-63 and the temps in the closet have shot down to 75-77 hehe. Alls i did to do that is open the window and put a small fan on the ledge, I'll post pic in my journal later, but ya, if yer having temp problems it's most likely the outside temps are too high, remember that yer pulling that air into the tent, so if it's too warm yer tent is going to be warm.

Also, get that filter on the beggining of your ducting. You want to pull through the filter not push through it.

The temps were just going a little bit higher, but nothing to worry about. The outside temp of the room is prolly around 65.. Its in the basement and shit. And i'm moving the filter here in a few, and doing a couple other things that I got tipped on by BKB! I'll post some pics in a few hours. Gonna water tonight too. Just ph'd water today. cya all in a few!!

Cheers

Sweet, Good man. Also after everythings said and done, i think as long as you have good air movement temps can be higher than the recommended 75ish degrees. I vegged all the way through at about 86 degrees on average lol. They are doing wonderful too! I had like 4 fans going to circulate air though so i think thats what let them go big in that 86 degree closet :D

Higher temps are ok but I wouldn't recommend going over 84F at the canopy(while flowering)....Now if you had Co2 then you can grow in even higher temps. Sometimes I raise my temps to lower the humidity levels. Later down the line when flowering I drop my temps to 50F during dark time to bring color out of the plants. Environmental Control IMO is vital to growing nice healthy plants....

Environmental control is EVERYTHING in growing sir, not just vital lol. but to lower your temps down to 50? That seems kinda odd, if it works for ya then go for it by all means, but I've always read not to fluctuate your temps more than 10 degrees from lights on to off. Temps shouldnt get below 65 either is another things i've read. Co2 shouldn't have an effect on what yer temps can be at either, I'm gonna check out yer grows here in a sec to see what all this gobbily goop is about and see how they are doing, cuz if you are actually going by these rules then you sir are the exception to the rules

worrrrd!! the one plant may have curly leaves from a foliar feed that was too strong, a possibility, but she's prolly fine .. ya know, you may also wanna make sure the rh stays super low if the temp is that high.. the jesus figurine is awesome, lol.. and the filter/heat problem, i'm thinkin could be fixed with a powerful fan suckin air thru the hood and then out the filter.. that would cool the light better and force the air from in the tent out thru the filter, you may wanna put an ionizer or air purifier in that room as well.. depending on situation. i put panty hose over the end of lights in a line if leaving open, to protect from dust bugs and whatever.. just my 2 cents.. but hell ya bro!! lookin great!!!

Rules, there are growing rules??? Hmmm I guess I should pick up a rule book. I am in Southern Cali and we pretty much have perfect weather here. Check out my journal and you can see how I turned my Bubba Kush plants from healthy green to full purple plants by dropping my tent temps in the 50s during lights off period. Here is the link: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/382282-1st-grow-bagseeds-dinafem-autoflowering-42.html . Especially during the last weeks of flowering. Hopefully I dont get a ticket for going pass the 10 degree rule.

Environmental Control is NOT everything, its vital because a plant still needs water n food which perfect environment temps dont produce. This is all just my opinion though.

Peace
