This is an email I sent to Branch MacMaster and their response. I did not realize that the Court of Appeal had "heard and dismissed" Health Canada's concerns. Did I somehow miss this bit of news ?

Dear friends :

I am registered with you as part of the Medical Marihuana Privacy Breach. I note that you have changed your webpage and it no longer shows that there was an appearance before the Federal Court of Appeal in the fall. Did this not happen already ? Are we not now waiting for a decision from the Appeal Court ?

Please advise,

It'll be 6+ years by the time it's done - absolute fucking bullshit. Given that election day is only a few weeks before the 6th anniversary, I'm going to be giving my MP some very vocal opinions on the lack of respect and denial of justice for cannabis patients. I'd go as far as to claim stigma-based discrimination against Cannabis patients and obstruction of justice by Health Canada and federal lawyers. What other group would be made to wait 6 years for a court date? They coulda and shoulda settled when the privacy commissioner ruled against them - but decided to waste millions in tax dollars fighting it instead.
A class action in Nova Scotia last year awarded each complainant nearly $4,000 for ONE person accessing their information. No one lost their jobs or had to move because of it - and it was settled in less than 3 years. I want 10X that amount due to the employment hassles I went through.
