After a few rough days.. and too much time in the hospital, I am back home. Luckily no damage to my grows in the time I was gone... but I woke up feeling down today. So I whipped out my 100x and took a look at my 4 ripest ladies.. and guess what? It is time for me to have a relaxing and rewarding project today..Chernobyl, Royal Kush and DICE are the strains ;) here are some pics to munch on.

So I was cleaning and such in the flowering room today and I staked out each of the budding plants with 5 -6 3 ft bamboo stakes. It made such a great difference... My vegging plants are already done. Not to sound like an idiot (but i do all the time :) ) but it is amazing to me to see the difference in yield and structure from these next round of girls of the same strain as above... except this time Ny Diesel is back in the mix.. which i topped and trained to shit and am very proud of. For anyone considering not training, pruning etc. look at the above plants and look at their sister plants who were cut at the exact same time. I will separate the strains so you can look at my earlier posts and compare the pics.

Single Plant Single stem untrained DICE as a contrast... I have trained plants of this strain just starting to bud:

I am attempting to follow Nugbuckest's Main-Lining technique https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/542308-main-lining-thread.html (a thread that anyone should check out!) So in a month I will post how those are vegging out. Srry for the long post... but I really think this is a great example of how simple training can increase yield.

Hey Dice :-)

First and foremost .... I hope that your health is on the rise :-) I know that Freakin' "Hotel Hospital" is no joy at all, especially when you have no one that can tend to your girls while you are away. Thank God I have a little bit of help from my son-in-law in case of an emergency. All of your girls were surly missing you, and behaved very well while you were out :-) Get better because I will kick your arse if you don't :P

Looks like you did a bang up job, and I have to say that the Chernobyl looks exactly like mine :-) So I guess I have the "knack" of growing, despite not having a real "green thumb" going in this Journey. I am currently just finishing my 4th grow, and shooting for a "perpetual type" revolving 12 plants currently. I also can relate to the use of the bamboo stakes, rather than what I was previously using, which were tomato cages. I too like to train my plants, however, thank you for the link Main-Lining. I am always eager to learn :-)

The "Dice Strain" looks like a winner for sure, and I know that I love both strains that were crossed, so even better I am sure ! :-)

Lastly .... Thanks so very much for your posts, friendship, and warmth that you bring to the Maine Patients Forum ! Like everything, it has it's ups and downs as far as people posting anything and everything that goes on within the state. I usually write a lot on various subject matters, but because of health issues, had to take a break for a spell. Now I am back, and hope that we can get some more people involved on a daily basis :-)

Take care my friend ... and enjoy the day :-)

Peace, Love, and Happiness
Bob AKA The MaineYankee :-)
