hear me out..

i have 6 plants in jiffys 2-4 inches under 4 6500k cfls for veg. state about 100w total. after about a few weeks when my plants are to tall for the lights i will move them into my "flowering room" where there are 4 3500k cfls placed high enough to let my plant grow atleast 3 ft. about 100w. i made a mistake and got the bulbs mixed up for veg state...still sprouted a couple waiting for other 4. does this sound good to you? any tips and/or input? will post pictures shortly waiting to give gf camera for christmas

For 6 plants you are going to need a lot more light..and are your lights movable ..

yeah they are movable...it would be no problem to install more. is the 4 okay for veg state? i also have a 14inch flourescent tube in each room.

not double, like quadruple... or more. Cfl's are weaksauce lights in the first place... I know they're much more expensive, but do yourself a favor and invest in a 400w hps light, you'll thank yourself in the end when your yield/quality pays for the light many times over. OR... you could just use a bunch of cfls and grow a wee bit of crappy scraggly weak pot...

Try hps or mh lights, if your relying on clfs then your gonna want smaller plants. You could do a lst grow and bend them along the lights. Youll probably need a couple more cfls, but your best bet is to spend a couple bucks on a good grow light. Its well worth it.

my space is 3ft deep by 3ft wide about 6ft height but cut away like 2 ft of space up top where i veg. then below where i flower (4ft) a shelf divides the spaces. its well insulated and holds heat and humidity. im using reflectix. i think my best bet would be to buy more cfls. higher wattage maybe. im only using practice seeds now so whatever happens happens.

Cfls are only really intended as supplimentary lights... pot plants need A LOT of light to grow buds that resemble something you would pay money for. I have personally seen a couple plants grown casually under cfls and they sucked. the buds will not fill out, they'll be thin, whispy, frames of a bud and won't produce much resin.. in a space that small you really need: A, A shitload more light and B) at least some ventilation. Without ventilation the plants will breathe up all the co2 in the space and sufficate. also humidity will cause the buds to rot. plus if you're using the proper amount of light (IE a 400w hps) the room will overheat. Also, the spectrums produced by cfls is not the same as hps. It's not as usable to the plants.
It's just a waste to spend the time/effort/legal risk of having 6 plants and not spent the $200 to have a great harvest instead of no harvest at all.....
