Heat Issue In Grow Room

aw not cool, lol this is my first 400w. ive only used CFL's in the past. i didnt even know it gave off heat

what kind of squash/ tomatoes are those? I have a few veggies in my tent too....... wish my bud grew the way my beans do.

accually spicy they are cucumbers, but the tomatoes are just some gourmet organic tomatoes seeds that i decided would be an awesome addition to my bud. they are both 100% organic YUM YUM this is my first time growing tomatoes so if you have any pointers for me thatd be great.

open ur tent up also ,,, i have a 600 watt hps and a 250 watt hps in a 4x4x8 tent with a 8 inch vortex fan and it stays 78 degrees,do u have central heat and air if so u can get a piece that fits over the air vent and attaches to flex ducting or any ducting and this will pump cold aair into tent my tent is closed and stays 78 degrees

no my vents are all in the roof, i really dont have much of an option for better cooling other than a portable A/C or a stronger exhaust wich is on its way.

IMO i would take the fan from intake and place it on the exhaust end as you vacumm the heat out fresh air will naturally be forced in if your room is decently sealed my thought

good tip DrFever thanks! i ordered a vortex 6" and a booster....you think that will take care of it? and ill still have a fan for the intake.

yep since i have my 8 inch inline vortex fan it pulls so much air from my tent u can watch the tent sidewalls suck in ,,, i do not use the central heat and air anymore but it worked when i didnt have a good fan

PC fans. Any fans for the matter cfm's ratings posted are unrestricted. Every turn and foot of duct work reduces the fans ability to attain the advertised cfm rating. PC fans are affected much more than inlines or daytons due to motor size and power output. Theres a good thread on here about it. I think it was called 'get your ducts in a row'.....

oh wow i never thought of that, thanks for the info thats vital stuff.
i ordered a vortex 6" 530cfm and a booster wich im sure is over kill but i have a controler for the vortex
