Right my autos are nearly 2 week old above soil and only 3 days under a 600w super hps (not cool tube just a standard hood) and my temps are through the roof!! At worst the room is hittin 38 centigrade/ 94+ Fahrenheit and im sure I'm well into the kill zone. For now I dont have a carbon filter although I will in a week and I have a large fab in there but it's just blasting hit ait around!

Any ideas to keep temps around 27-31 centigrade would be very useful!!
For now I'm just opening the door for a.few mins and it gets down to around 26 but shoots up within an hour

thats your problem you shouldnt of started a grow until you have all the equipment the carbon filter and fan will exhaust all the hot stale air out your grow room, not much you can do until then your just gona have to leave your door open while lights are on

No not really got intakes/outakes just a small hole built in the wall waitin for the filter to arrive, ordered it today so ive probably got 5-6 days before its setup to go

I knew there was guna be a fair amount of heat comin of the light but not as much as there is! Didnt consider all angles I guess seein as this is a trial n error run!!!

yep going to need to duct hot air out and bring fresh air in. First thing you will learn when getting a HPS that size. Even 85 is hotter than you want it.....depending on how big your space is you may need to go to ducted hood or cooltube type setup to get that heat out. Tell us more about you grow area....how big of space you working with?

throw your hood into the trash , or just stop growing if you don't want to spend money. buy the good shit buy it once and be done, no shame in spending 5 or 10 grand in a room to get it correct, so spend the 100 get a cool tube 8 inch , not the bull shit 6 inch, 6 work but not as well

Ive realised now I needed a cool tube so after this run il defo invest in one! Didnt realise it cud get so hot, im working in.a 6ft long by 2.5ft wide room and 6ft high, I have 2 perfectly sized holes in the room 1 for intake 1 for outake so I'm just waitin for the filter
to arrive and it will be up the same day, il only grow autos and not as many as 10 next ttime round

I dont mind spending some decent money on.a good setup, this is my first grow so I'm unsure really on what will do the job, amongst other things but next time il be more ready seein as ive learnt a fair bit already!

I was having the same problem. Closed my room can get as hot as 90 in mins if not an hour. Even with 500 cfm pulling from my cooltube its not cool enough to drop the temps 10 degrees let alone 20 to 30. They say portable Ac and Y ducted with your exhaust will be the only efficient way to get the temps to 76-79 and consistantly stay within + or minus 5 degrees like at night or when the lights off for the plants rest period... say 4 hours. Im not as clean as some with hanging wires and junk but you can get a decent blower and exhaust or inline for 69-100$ if you have a ballast that is dimmable you can use that to control heat. dont count out the 20.00 box fan from any grocery store. anyway you can cool the air above the canapy and the circulation allows the warm air to rise out your ok..imo..View attachment 2672118

100 percent agree that the 8" cooltube is the money maker. because the good inlines with quality cfm are 8"
