a1000w is to much for a closet, a 400w is ideal, you're going to have to get a fan a 9 inch diameter at least that will help cool the plants a bit keep the closet door open all the time the light is on. you must get the fan as soon as poss you cant put the light on the plants without the FAN !!!!!!! and the door open

How many hours is it on? Of course the hood is air cooled right? How do you exhaust the hot air out of the room? I would suggest a fan aimed right below the light blowing out. Another aimed at your plants blowing out (by that I mean place the fan at the back and have it blow the air out toward the room). Can you raise the light to it's highest height? Does that make any difference?

freeze a 2 litre bottle of water n put it in there.. Might lower the temp a tiny tiny tiny bit :)

i got a 2x4 foot ( 8 square foot) ebb and flow self made cabinet. super small. i tried 1000 aqir cooled and still had to go with a super 600w(i even put it in a cool tube). 1000watts the plants are wasting light and your hydro will be killer anyways. also always vent

if you have strong enough intake and outtake fans it shouldnt have been a problem babygro says cool tubes arent very good anyways go for 175cfm and up on your fans

ha cool tubes no good. LOL my plants can literally grow around the tube exept directly below the bulb and grob above the tube with no stress. i can touch the tube (not directly below the bulb but inches beside) and not burn myself. great for cabinets. keeps all the heat from the bulb vented from the room also without at least 150 cfm nothings gonna work with a high watt bulb. i have tube and still vent 176cfm as well

I can keep my temps at 78 all day with with my aircooled thousand so you shouldnt make a false statement but whatever works best for you

i would want my aircooled if i was doing one plant but i got six under mine cause the closer the light the more i yield which means the more i can smoke maybe its due to the fact you have a small cabinet sorry i didnt notice that in the first place my area is a closet but its prob 7 by 10 or so

i have two intake fans with my one big vent fan wich is more the 200cfm the only reason i cant keep my room cool is i dont grow in my house i have a seaport building to grow in and we have been having record temps where i live i might have to get a AC unit

wut don't u guys understand about CLOSET opp? does anyone know how rediculus it is to install an intake exhaust fan in a 2'x5' CLOSET....? and even if i did i would have to stream the tubing in the air across the entire room to the window becuase there is no other exhuast port in this room (besides heater) widowman ty lots for yur input. i already do have 2 fans blowing and its still 2 hot
