...i accidently let the top soil dry out as it was very close to the light, its been about 24 h and im waiting for them to sprout...if they get to dry dont they die? getting a little paranoid

im a complete newbie...just i had one plant before to test out my grow and he turned out to be a male...

i also spilled 4 of the 11 pots on the floor and i hope i didnt lose the seed or put it too far down into the soil. would that suffocate the seed?

i would very much be grateful to hear your views on if its ok so i can rest easy :-|

if its only been 24 hours and the soil was moist to begin with u are ok. seedling will usually just take a little more time to sprout if deeper unless they are way to deep and then u will have problems

Are you trying to fuck the plants up? You gotta treat these plants like your special lady dude. You wouldn't drop your girlfriend on her head would you? Would you not let her drink for an entire day. WTF?

Anyways, I'm sure some will pop. That is about the worst time to let them go without water, but I bet most recover. A seed planted too deep doesn't have the energy to push through alot of soil before it dies. If you have small pots though they probably can do that. If nothing shows after a few days go digging.

sorry i ment to say its been 24 hours since i discouverd that they were dry and watered them since...i didnt leave them thirsty for ages it was 4 or so hours and i came back and the topsoil was dry, i just got a little paranoid cos the seeds are expensive... i figures they were too close to the light so i moved it away a few inches and watered the soil a little more and now the soil is staying moist...i dont think i watered enough the first time though there was moisture..
yes i was very clumsy and a little stoned when i drop them,

trust me it was a very big deal and was very angry at myself, my flat mate heard my outcry from his room while busy making loud dark grinding psytrance lol

i had the same prob, dont sweat it, they were about a week old, only 2 small jagged leafs were showing, came home from work and they were lieing on the dirt, i gave them a nice watering, and within about 2 hrs, they all looked great again, just give them a good watering, if you useing CFL's , like me,it seems to dry out the soil alot, ppl say dont water everyday, well thats BS, water when it needs to be watered, i ahve to everyday

I used CFLs and I can put my hand right up to the bulb and not have it feel too hot. In fact, the low amount of heat output was one of my main reason for choosing CFLs. Also not having to spend 300 or more on HPS fixtures!

Go CFL! :) I'm sure your seeds will be fine. How deep did you bury them? I usually let mine germinate and actually get to about an inch or something, that way I can plant them with the top already out of the ground. They thank me for that every time and grow beautifully...
