Hello from the UK, long time smoker, newb to growing. =)

Good evening, good morning or goodnight where ever you are. =)

I'm 32 year old, male, born and and bred in the UK and been smoking since I was 14,and I recently developed an interest for growing my own, hard times and all that, but after speaking to friends and researching I've been left a little baffled by it all.

I wouldn't normally post in this section, but I know the questions I'm wanting to ask will have been answered a million times already so hoping some of you more experienced growers cant point to some comprehensive threads that I can post my questions on or just read for hints and tips?

Always a pleasure to meet fellow smokers, and hope to learn some valuable tips from you guys.

Hey mate, nice to see a fellow uk'er! I'm only on my first grow myself, 3 weeks in to flower at the min and going strong, really good site with great people! sorry cant point you in the direction of any threads but some of the stickies in some sections have lots of good info. If you got any specific questions just ask, i might know the answer to a few. Lol. Welcome anyway mate and hope growing goes well for you. What sort of grow are you thinking about doing btw?

and in the search bar type in "grow" and there should be like 5 video's there. A majority of your answers will be answered in them.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome. =)

I've asked a couple of questions HERE but will post them here too...

1. Just how many plants can you grow in a 1.2m and 2.2m tent? I have a friend who only grows 4 in a 2.2m but since doing some research I've read you could get a few more into that space.

2. Would you recommend an NFT system, seems a lot less hassle than potting.

3. Thoughts on this package - 1.2m x1.2m

If you mean what will I be growing as in the name of the plants, I'm not sure yet, I know a handful of people I can get cuttings off but won't know until I get set up. If you mean scale, I'm wanting a grow tent as shown above.

Any help tips or suggestions highly appreciated. I just don't know why I didn't get into this years ago.

Hi, and thanks for the links. I won't be getting started for a few month and the reason I've joined here is to become as knowledgeable as possible beforehand because it's something I do want to and definitely going to do so want to get the best possible result I can. A friend of a friend I know grows and has told me of all the issues he's encountered like bud rot, getting the feed wrong ect so know is not something I want to encounter.

1) You can fit as many as you like near enough in a space but the more space there is the bigger your plant is going to be which obviously means more bud per plant.
Bigger pot size = bigger root space = plant can hold more weight = more bud
2) I don't know much about NFT not really researched anything besides growing in soil and aeroponics systems. Care to explain the difference between NFT and aero?
And I believe smokey was referring to what type of setup are you looking to do which was NFT.
As for tips from what i've learned to get bigger buds you need bigger pot sizes, co2, the correct amount of Nutes at just the right time, topping your plant and there are a few more things but my minds drawing a blank atm loool
