Hello, I'm new here

Hi All,

Glad to have found this site! I just wanted to introduce myself. I have recently decided to start taking oil internally for medicinal purposes. I have done extensive research on Rick Simpson and like what I've read. I even put some oil on a mole that was a bit odd and it went away! (not pulling your leg here at all)

My husband prefers to smoke but he's into taking it internally too to help clear up any damage done by chemo he had years ago.

I'm looking for beans that would be good for anxiety disorder/palpitations and migraines.
Can anyone recommend a strain that might work for all three above?

I've ordered from BS Seeds with only a couple of complaints..... their ridiculous 3 or 4 page "mail your money this way saga of instructions" and the fact that they don't (as in DO NOT ) want you to email them (and don't bother trying because they won't answer - you feel like a child getting it's hand slapped!). They do have a contact us form but if they don't feel like answering they won't. Customer service stinks really.

Anyway, no prob getting the beans and no prob with germination but who needs the hassle.

So...that's about it :)

Hey roosba here. I could recommend several that may work for anxiety and migranes, I've found swiss bliss to be a good calming buzz and very good for pain relief. I know that paradise seeds advertises that strain. I got mine from a friend. I grow medical marijuana for back and knee pain. 4 vertibrae fused and rods screws and such. one knee replaced and one yet to be done. I have totally stopped the chemicals (i.e. morphine, oxycontin and the rest. been there done that) and grow my own medicine. glad to see you found RIU.

welcome alwayslookin! just a few things to add: if your husband has a medical card you might want to thing about getting clones instead of seeds. they ensure strong genetics and guarantee that the sex is female. Also you'll have to wait a couple weeks less for it to grow because it already has rooted and started vegging.

the strain i would recommend is Bubba Kush. this has the best medicinal properties of any plant ive tried and a wide variety of them also. it will do wonders for headaches, backpain, muscle cramps and lots more to do with relaxation of the body. it is one of my favorite strains of all time and i will keep smoking this strain for a long time to come. the only drawback is it is a low yielder but will proper training and trimming you can max out your yield and my god does it smell beautiful! One of the few strains that actually tastes like it smells

feel free to ask any questions and check out my grow journal below for any detailed steps your wondering about its pretty detailed.
Happy growing!

Farmer, Roosba and goten...thanks for the welcome and the info! :)
No medical cards here....too much of a pain to get them and who wants the hassle. Not me so we'll do it ourselves ;)
I wouldn't know where to get clones from Farmer. Do they sell such things? I'll see if I can find both mentioned strains above and go from there. This is a great site!!
I'll post pix once the 5 babies we have get a bit bigger. We're trying to figure out if we should put them outside or keep them inside once they get a bit bigger.
We grew some about 10 yrs ago indoors. It turned out nice although it gave me palpitations ..boo hiss!

its not a pain trust me thats what i thought at first too. its as easy as it could ever be. no one should be able to deny your right to use medical for relief of any symptoms you may be having. medical marijuana physicians are very understanding and are just there to help you! and yes many cannabis medical "dispensaries" sell clones of plants. they are just simply a cut branch from a previous "mother" plant that the shops keep to aid sick people in growing easier. they are about $15 each average for the good ones i would definitely recommend doing this for legal purposes and for peace of mind. the genetics they carry are usually great because they smoke the stuff too!

its as easy as a 30 minute phycial by your certified medical marijuana physician you should look them up and give one a call and just talk to them about it they are all over california im not sure about canada you might have to look into it.

Hi Farmer,

It's a pain up here (Ontario) because if your doc isn't 'a believer' you're pretty much screwed. If the doc won't do it then there's always health canada but that is a ROYAL pain...miles of paperwork and crap to wade thru. It isn't worth the hassle. I have a couple of friends with MS and man oh man they're are about ready to pull their hair out over trying to get ok'd through health canada. One of their docs said no because smoking is bad for the lungs (just like what happened to Rick Simpson in the vid of his). One of them said forget it. I'll have to look up certified medical marijuana docs up here though. Maybe they are listed somewhere and MAYBE you don't need a referral from your family doc to see one. Usually if you need to see a specialist your family doc MUST refer you otherwise you can't get in. Then there's the weed from health canada itself...its regulated and does practically nothing as far as being helpful goes. They have their own growers and each grower can only grow for a certain number of people (not many) AND the THC content is monitored. So....all in all it's easier to grow your own if you can up here. The cops recently just raided and closed a shop in Toronto that offered medical weed. Buggers.

man that sounds like a pain. i guess you might have no choice then. but if it's to help your sick husbands cancer recovery then no amount of paperwork or time matters. but sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands when others won't help. best of luck to you if you have any questions about the process of growing don't hesitate to ask
