Hello RIU. I have been a "lurker" on this site for a while now, but never took the plunge to go ahead and post! Well, now I am out of the closet and ready to post! I'll let you know a little bit about me and my situation, I am battling a terminal disease at the moment and I came here to try to find like minded people that have a passion and dedication for all things cannabis and it's great healing and medicating properties. Unfortunately, at the moment, I am stuck in a state that is non medicinal and every night I go to bed wondering how my so called "treatment" team, made up of 5 specialist can justify prescribing 100's of pain pills a month but can't recommend or just straight up prescribe me MMJ! I have joined the local NORML chapter(if you call having to travel to a border state local! lol) and am trying to educate the masses in this area so one day, terminal folks can die with some dignity and not be belittled because they choose an alternative route. I am also looking for the positivity that the MMJ community displays! I honestly feel that everyone should have the choice to use cannabis for whatever reason. I have been through chemotherapy, radiation treatment, lost my hair, puked my guts out, and lost lb after lb, all of which could have been mitigated with MMJ! I could go on an on, but I won't bore anyone! Have a great day everyone!

You are a survivor and the keeper of knowledge. Cannabis helps with pain incredibly! Also, Pain pills harm your liver drastically. What's up with that?

Well, I'll tell you whats up with that. There is NO properly grown, flushed, PM/mite free meds at my disposal! I get a total of $800 dollars a month from my big disability award, that's why I had to move in w the folks. The only cannabis here that makes it in from CA is 25 a G, 5-600 a Z, so that's whats up with that! I was born and raised on the west coast and always had topshelf or close, and my personal fav, lots of killer full melt(preferably clear dome! lol) but when the econ went south, my hands were tied to relocate and after getting settled into a non MMJ state, I still grew, strictly for health, not wealth(Dave from weedens qoute). I believe in cannabis so much that I lived with the fear of my door flying off the hinges at 5am, because that's how passionate I am about cannabis. What little extra I had would be given to a fellow who is now deceased from the AIDS virus. Then I come home from a trip w the fam and our home had been reduced to a pile of smoldering ashes, so there went everything! from baby pics and family heirlooms, to genetics and all my equipment. It was hard enough to replace my wardrobe, after having 2 pair of pants and washing one in the sink every night to have a clean pair for the next day everyday for a couple weeks, then I finally got a couple more pair. After 2 rounds of chemo, radiation, and other conventional and not so conventional methods, the pain is unbearable and I am tired of fighting! It becomes so taxing, both mentally and physically, that after 4 yrs of chronic and extreme pain and no meds, I'll be honest, I'm not living, just existing! So it's a catch 22! I am literally dying to have clean, medicinal meds, hopefully I'm alive when croptober comes for OD. That's what up with the pain pills! I hate em and would love to pass from this earth medicating on the plant of life, but what can I do? Sorry for the delayed response.

Welcome, are you growing or did you join for the social aspect?
To be honest, both. I'm tired of having nothing and decided to put several OD. I don't know how good they'll turn out, as I can't water and feed on a regular basis because I can't have anything on my land, you know the story!
