get rid of the slow release nutes, that is your first problem, are you using air pump in your water res, is you water ph'd, how much wattage are you putting on them and what spectrum are you using (2700 or 6500), have you mixed in some vermiculite for airation, make sure that light cant get to the nutes, is the plant pot big enough, how often do you water, do you use anything in the water.

There are load's of different thing's that it could be, you need to give more info if you need help. Read the FAQ at the top and ask again.

How old are your plants? MG can release more nuts than the plants need early on and can cause lock out due to the salts! But if they are only a couple -3 weeks old, just give em time, How far away are your lights? What is your watering schedule?

Five weeks old? Holy shit, they're tiny. I'd guess them to be a little over a week old,(since sprouting) so something must be slowing them down, alot. They don't look that unhealthy though, especially the one in the box. The stems seem to be very weak too, if you need to have them supported like that. Hmm...I don't have a clue. What are your watering routines? The one in the clay pot has a nice-sized gap between the dirt and the pot, so maybe you aren't watering them enough? Any other info? Temperature? Wattage and light setup?

watering every 2 days, 2 -65w cfl and i got my corn in a gallon sized container and the one in the pot in a small clay pot, idk if im not watering enough, if the pots are too small, if the soil is off, or if i have enough light

oh wow they are reallly small for 5weeks. They look preeety healthy tho. are you letting the soil dry out a bit before you water? do you have a little fan blowing on the plants to strengthen the stem? if it cant be held up right now it wont be able to hold the heavy buds =/

since they are small i wouldent have the fan directly hitting them, it may tip the plants and kill them ( it has happened to me before) just get a small 60mm pc fan and aim the fan inbetween all the plants if possible so they are all getting some air. Once bigger then you can upgrade.

thanx, wat about the soil i have them in? is it ok or do i need to change it? do i add more light?

Hmmm....tough one. If the PH was off in the soil, the plants would have tell-tale signs, and they look pretty decent. My guess is that you're not watering them enough. IDK what else it could be. Also...how far are the lights from the plants? They should be really close, like 1-2 inches from the tops. Even if you are underwatering them, or the temperature was way off, I would still think they would be bigger than that, or dead, by now. It's a mystery.LOL

have you been using any fert? if so stop immediately that MG soil feeds ur plant evertime u water, id wait 3 days before watering and continue watering every 3 days after that, heres a tip for watering... fill it till u have liquid start to come out of your drainage holes at the bottom of the plant then stop, and also those look to be clear containers to me.. gotta cover those up, roots dont like light very much

since there are two plants and they are 5weeks old, ( tho they like like 1 or 2) i would add 1 or 2 more lights if you only have 2 65watt cfls they will speed up hopfully, and maby not strech as much

get some more water on them and more light's, could do with putting a air pump with your water, root's need oxeygen. get ph to 5.2-6.5 i think with soil.

if you add perlite your going to preety much be transplatting the plant. If you have a different soil i would just add perlite to the other soil and transplant into the unnutted soil and you will be able to give nutes on your command, not the soils. But if you must use MG, i wouls add some perlite i do 50/50 it helps drainage alott, and if you dont have problems with drainage already you will most likly eventually run into it ( i did before and my plant isnt looking so well :wall:

it's what you put in fish tanks to oxeygenate the water, increased oxeygen in the water and it will accelerate the rate of growth. I grow just in water that is oxeygenated all the time and the difference is unbelieveable. You can pick them up for next to nothing.
