Well i just started my plants are about 3-4 weeks old, still small cause i grew in the sun till my lights got here, but now they are here and they are growing really fast.

Anyways i started them out in just miracle grow potting soil. I have miracle grow all purpose plant food in a spray bottle with water (very diluted). I was wondering when if i must start using any kind of fertilizers soon. Something i'm confused about with fertilized is a. is it a liquid or is it like dirt, B if i need to add fertilizer does taht mean i have to transplant my plants into a new pot with fertilizer mixed with soil.

And i'm going to have to transplant eventually because i started them in small pots. I was wondering IF there is a good guide for transplanting plants. The one that is linked only tells you how to do it if you have a thick stick stem. My stems are still green and soft how would i go about doing this?

And finally what is the easiest way (basic signs) of when i need to transplant them. From your experience what do you notice first.

-thanks

Hey newbie grower. Welcome to growing weed.

Miracle Grow soil is excellent. Most have added nutes so no I do not suggest using added nutes just yet.

You will neeed to transplant when You see the roots coming out the bottom. They will need translplanting before they become rootbound so transplanted is very important. All you do is water the plant and add to new containewr with new soil and water again. Its very simple especially using MG soil.

You will then need to start taking them outdoor for a few hours per day to climatize them. Make sure the weather is warm enough. When people start putting their pansies out that usually the time but don't leave them out all night. Just a few hours at a time.

When you tranplant your plants into bigger pots you will first notice that they really like it.

They are in hard plastic, with the 4 wholes at the bottom, will i notice roots coming out of those wholes? or should i transplant before that?

Perfect. Yes you wait until you see the roots coming out the bottom.
You'll do fine. Its really not as difficult as you think.

sweet I'm afraid i'm going to run out of room, the plants i bought are a short plant but i mean whats the shortest i can have a plant and still be able to harvest it, is only growing my plant to 1ft possible?

Also If i get male plants do i just kill them? or what? God i hope at least one of the three i started are female lol

One foot isn't a lot of growing room. They are gonna need pots at least 8 inches tall
it depends how long and how big you want to grow them
the males will appear before the females and will have little balls attached to them.
Chuck them right away and dispose of.

Yes you will most likely get a female. The chances rae 50/50 but the ratio between male and female is usually much less.

I grew 5 huge plants last year
started off with 7
one fall
and one was male

Had a great grow

Good luck:mrgreen:
